Four conferences. Four themes. One continuing mission. 🌍 What began in 2023 has now successfully completed its fourth edition, with each conference exploring a different dimension of metabolic health: 2023: Low Carb Across the Globe 2024: Metabolic Therapies 2025: Addictions, Seed Oils & Metabolic Disorders, 2026: Metabolic Health Crisis: Where India Went Wrong - and How to Fix It Four conferences, countless hours of conversations, and experts and lived-experience voices joining us from India and across the world - all with one purpose: to improve awareness and understanding of metabolic health. A heartfelt THANK YOU to every speaker who generously shared their knowledge, research, clinical experience and personal journeys. A very special thank you to all our hosts, who prepared extensively and helped turn each session into an engaging conversation. Our sincere appreciation to Imagica Health, our Event Partner, for the platform and support that helped us deliver these three days seamlessly to audiences across the world. And a huge thank you to everyone working behind the scenes, and to every attendee who joined, watched, asked questions, shared our sessions and supported the conference. The Metabolic Health Conference remains 100% virtual, free to attend and sponsor-free. Four successful conferences later, that commitment remains unchanged. We started with a simple idea. Four conferences later, the journey continues. Thank you for being part of it. 🙏❤️ Await the 5th Metabolic Health Conference in 2027 Metabolic Health Conference Brought to you by Metabolic Health India® @MetHealthInd & @shashiiyengar metabolichealthconference.co… metabolichealthindia.com youtube.com/@shashiiyengar/s…

India eats “mostly vegetarian” most of the time. Although around 70–80% of Indians consume some form of non-veg food, for many, eggs, fish or meat are eaten only weekly or occasionally. Most everyday meals remain vegetarian. This is why knowledge of vegetarian low-carb nutrition is relevant far beyond those who identify as strict vegetarians. The Low Carb for Vegetarians course shows how to build nutritionally complete vegetarian low-carb & ketogenic diets, with attention to protein, metabolic health, exercise, fasting, gut sensitivity, women’s health and practical cooking. Once you understand how to formulate a nutritionally complete veg low-carb plan, the same principles can be readily adapted to create non-veg plans as well. In 2009, Bradley and colleagues published a randomized controlled trial in the journal Diabetes using a low-carbohydrate intervention containing: 20% carB • 20% protein • 60% fat The formula was sitting openly in published scientific literature years ago. NOTE THE YEAR: 2009 20:20:60 is not a rigid prescription. Protein requirements, carbohydrate tolerance, medical conditions and individual goals must always guide personalisation. Science is not private property. We all learn from published research, experienced practitioners, our patients and those who came before us. Using established knowledge is called learning. Applying, adapting and teaching it responsibly is called professional practice. Reference: Bradley U, et al. Another remarkable reference from the history of diabetes care. 100g reference - 3rd in the series. In their 1919 monograph, Frederick M. Allen and colleagues documented a patient taking 100 g of carbohydrate per day. The patient record originated in 1915 and reported freedom from glycosuria during the stated week. This is another entry in our series tracing historical references to 100 g carbohydrate diets. -Metabolic Health India

This is the second post in our series exploring historical references to 100 g of carbohydrate in diabetes management, but chronologically, it is the older reference. In his 1919 Diabetic Manual, Dr Elliott P. Joslin wrote that carbohydrate intake in people with diabetes was almost invariably restricted and “seldom above 100 grams.” This predates the Joslin 1927 reference shared earlier today. These historical records show that carbohydrate restriction in diabetes is not a new or recent concept. More references in this series will follow. Many organizations have adopted this concept in their low-carb protocol. Metabolic Health India® For education and awareness only.

Low-carbohydrate nutrition for diabetes is not a new concept. In 1927, Dr Elliott P. Joslin described a diet providing 100 g of carbohydrate per day for the average person with diabetes, while also recognising that carbohydrate tolerance varied among individuals. Nearly a century later, the principle remains relevant: carbohydrate intake should be individualised according to metabolic health, glucose response and personal tolerance. It is officially live today! A deeply happy and proud moment for our entire team. What began as an idea to address a major gap in low-carbohydrate education has now become an international course available through Nutrition Network. Together, @jasmeet481 , @FastingCoach_MS , @DrSandhyaSK @blazingbhat @sandeepvarma15 @PathreSidhesh @aashishpabari @Radiantbeasting we created updated, evidence-informed and practical learning modules for vegetarian low-carb and ketogenic nutrition. Proud that Metabolic Health India®, our team and our collective knowledge are now reaching a global audience. @NutritionNetwrk From India to the world. We did it together!

Before choosing a course, find out who created it. Review the qualifications, experience and credibility of the faculty behind the content. A transparent course should clearly identify its authors and presenters. Be cautious when the people responsible for creating the material are unknown. You deserve to know who is teaching you and the expertise behind what you are learning.
Coaching a vegetarian client on low carb requires more than simply removing rice, bread or roti. The plan must provide adequate protein, essential nutrients, suitable sources of healthy fats and enough variety to remain practical over time. It must also respect whether the individual includes eggs, as well as their culture, beliefs, health conditions and personal preferences. Our Low Carb for Vegetarians course teaches the science and practical skills needed to create nutritionally complete plans that clients can realistically follow. Developed by Nutrition Network, in association with Metabolic Health India®. The course is currently available at a special offer price, making high-quality, evidence-based learning accessible without requiring an enormous financial investment.

The 4th Metabolic Health Conference was completely self-funded - with no commercial sponsorship. Yet we were happy to use the conference platform to give visibility to people and organisations contributing to the metabolic health space - including the books featured during the conference, Nutrition Network, SMHP, Sucroless Allulose, and others. The SMHP & Nutrition Network are doing great work in the global space when it comes to metabolic health. There were no paid promotions or sponsorship obligations behind these displays. They were simply our way of supporting good work, useful resources and the wider metabolic health community. A free conference. Independent voices. Shared learning. 🌍 Brought to you by @shashiiyengar Metabolic Health India® @idlake @TheSMHP @NutritionNetwrk @gautamguha71 @108Maia108 @Mindzatwork @SindhuVijay20 @TheNoakesF @ProfTimNoakes
