In this study, interferon-γ was found to play a large role in the pathogenesis of APS-1. Results were confirmed in studies in animals and led to a trial of ruxolitinib in five patients, who had dramatic responses. Read the full study results: nej.md/4bXoKkG

ALT Original Article The Role of Interferon-γ in Autoimmune Polyendocrine Syndrome Type 1 Panel A shows photographs of hair on the scalp of Patient 1 before and after ruxolitinib treatment. The graph shows serum levels of interferon-γ before and after treatment. Panel B shows the macroscopic appearance of gastric mucosa during endoscopy in Patient 2. The graph shows serum levels of interferon-γ before and after treatment.

Check out our new paper @NatImmunol on trying to make sense of the complexity of the dendritic cell family from an ontogenetic perspective. Spearheaded by @CarlosMMinutti who has posted a helpful thread. Thanks to all our collaborators and helpful reviewers.
Delighted to share our latest work, out in @NatImmunol, tackling the seemingly inordinate complexity of #cDC2s. @ReiseSousaLab @TheCrick, we found that distinct ontogenetic lineages dictate cDC2 heterogeneity, rather than cell states imposed by the tissue microenvironment 🧵(1/x)

I am beyond excited to share the main project of my PhD @casanova_lab which is now
out @CellCellPress (doi.org/10.1016/j.cell.2023.…). We describe how human CCR2 deficiency leads to impaired monocyte recruitment to the lung, resulting in pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
1/ We are excited to report the discovery and mechanistic exploration of human AR complete CCR2 deficiency in @CellCellPress. Surprisingly, CCR2 deficiency underlies two narrow phenotypes: progressive polycystic lung disease and mycobacterial disease (sciencedirect.com/science/ar…).
