2 years ago, I had no idea what Discord even was.
When I started trading weather back in May 2025, I caught a Discord invite dropped in the Polymarket comments.
It was just a small server @strider_pm set up to degen on London and New York, the only two markets around back then.
I jumped in and started trading and exchanging with guys like @Hans323 , @atteonthephone, @CUTNPASTE4 , and others.
My trading leveled up big time.
When weather markets started multiplying, I wanted to recreate that exact space to trade and sweat live city conditions together with other traders.
That’s why I created Weather Olympus.
Truly honored to see the server shouted out by @PolymarketTrade.
Massive thanks to our 1500 members! 🏛️⚡️

Welcome to the trenches.
This looks so damn cool. Hey @PolymarketTrade , please let me buy this!
Traders are upset about the latest news regarding the token and the overall atmosphere, which has led to a multi-month drop in liquidity across many promising geopolitical markets.
Rewards no longer fulfill the role they were originally meant to play - many have simply left, probably forever.
The only way to solve this problem is through healthy communication between the community and the team, along with an acknowledgment of the mistakes made over the past few years, because stupid hints and fueling expectations played a cruel joke.

Let the markets tell us what's gonna happen!
As an aside, pretty crazy what you can do with AI and public APIs these days. One shotted this on phone while lying in bed.

Just noticed Polymarket added these little profile stats, and the numbers look pretty impressive.
I started trading weather markets in February. Since February 14, I’ve traded every single day, except for those couple of days when weather markets weren’t available.
- 63K profile views
- $1.8M total volume
- $42K PnL
- 5236 predictions
I really love doing this.

1/2 Interesting situation in Tel Aviv today.
METARs stopped coming in yesterday. Turns out it wasn’t a technical issue. It was Yom Kippur, a Jewish holy day when the airport pauses operations and METAR reporting stops.
The market rules say that if no reports come in for the entire day, it resolves to the lowest bracket. So traders were piling into 27°C or below.
2/2 But I checked the past 7 years. On Yom Kippur, reports had resumed by 14:50 local time every year.
That made me pretty confident they’d return this time too. I tried to pick up as many shares as possible with limit orders, but liquidity was thin.
Never thought knowing about Jewish holy days would come in handy when trading weather 😂

As promised, I’ll keep supporting projects in the Polymarket ecosystem with honest reviews
Today I picked HuskyWeather by @husky_vs. The founder actively trades weather markets and has $40k+ PnL
The project is fully focused on weather. It’s basically a perfect platform for pro weather traders
You get analytics for every city with comparisons across multiple weather models, detailed data, analytics on weather trader profiles and a separate tab for rain polymarkets
The best features are available with the Pro subscription, which costs $15/month or $120/year
Definitely worth trying if you actively trade weather markets
Link to the project is below, btw it's not a sponsored post

The fees are too high
If you trade TradFi , the trading fees are minimal.
Playing zero sum games is fun but when the game is -7% EV based on fees, the edge required to stay profitable is too high
It becomes a vicious cycle of declining volume and liquidity
If you click something with huge fees, you need to have big conviction and be certain that it will move/ you will win the bet. Swing trading is dead.
If you regret clicking something, and want to sell it, you already paid a ton in fees and then in spread, meaning the only people who click stuff will be either people with big edge, or really dumb money
As the competition for dumb money is high, getting filled takes longer, and you decide to just not trade because leaving a bid on something fast moving is likely to get adversed, meaning massively declining volume and less vibrant markets
I guess many of the recreational gamblers who would otherwise lose on sportsbooks with worse prises are not very price sensitive, but for political / tech / AI / econ markets where we do not have a ton of recreational gamblers, the fees are destroying liquidity
I would suggest PMs to cut their fees to sub 0.5% at 50c shares, at that point I would probably ignore fees and trade a lot more.
How large are Polymarket fees? Here's a weather trader who made +$17k profit and paid $20k in fees, resulting in a net loss of -$3k. betmoar.fun/profile/0xf8dc8c…

Two new tabs:
1. Clouds - an animated satellite loop over the station itself: the last 12 frames from GOES, Meteosat or Himawari, 3 to 30 minutes behind live depending on which satellite sees it. 46 of 49 stations. PRO.
2. Camera - live airport webcams next to the METAR they belong to.
9 airports. Free for everyone.
90% of Prediction Market weather posts are complete bullshit with fake comments. Here are the top BS post topics. 👇
1. People don't open source their winning strategies or bots on GitHub.
2. Nobody is selling you reliable winning picks for less than they could make using them. They buy them first, then they let you drive the price up - YOU are the exit liquidity.
3. Claude and Astra will not create you a profitable weather trading strategy without lots of work, input and creative thinking from you.
There are tons of ways to profit in weather trading, but like anything else with great potential, you will need to outwork your opponents.
Our goal is to give you the tools and data you need to create your own edge, which is the only real way to create long-term, reliable success.
Just bought a Mercedes-Benz AMG with my weather market profits.
Thanks @Polymarket for making this possible 🤝
August was a tough month for my weather trading.
I recently used @husky_vs ’s tool to look at my stats.
I realized that my weather wins have mostly always come from entering the daily peak on undervalued brackets (under 20¢).
Either late-day flips, or peaks that were mispriced because the market still thought it was going higher.
The problem is that liquidity right now is in pre-day. And I’ve come to the conclusion that I have absolutely no edge pre-day on nice sunny days.
So I’m starting small again, with the strategy that actually worked for me.
Today in Paris, some models were calling for a max of 28°C, others 29°C. When the temperature have hit 28°C early, the market was priced on 29°C.
But whether it finishes 28 or 29 comes down to a decimal, at every xx:00 and xx:30.
Maybe my brain isn’t thinking about this the right way, but if the peak is sitting between 28 and 29, and resolution comes down to a decimal at one specific minute, I think the odds that it stays at 28°C should be higher than 10%.
So I put in bids for 28°C under 10¢.
I didn’t get many shares, but after a rough August, I’ll take every small win.
Another weather trader with incredible results you should be following💪
