The "Georgian Dream" lawsuit seeking to ban our Party “for Georgia” has finally been made public. With this document, the ruling party is officially declaring critical dissent itself unconstitutional. There are specific names attached to this authoritarian turn: 88 MPs who signed off on banning critical thought and political pluralism in Georgia. For Georgia, this means a transition to full single-party rule, the total derailment of our European path, and severe international isolation. This is precisely what every single signatory is individually accountable for.

Today Russia took another dangerous step towards the annexation of Georgia's occupied Tskhinvali Region by installing its career civil servant, Marat Kambolov as a so-called "President of South Ossetia" through illegal and predetermined "elections" in the occupied territories. This "elections" and its results don't have any legitimacy under the international law, however they pose direct threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as Kambolov vowed to remove borders between Tskhinvali and Northern Ossetia, which effectively puts this historic land of Georgia within the administrative boundaries of Russia. The situation has been further aggravated by the collaborative policy of the ruling Georgian Dream party, which, instead of mobilising international community to counter the ongoing de-facto annexation process of the Tskhinvali region, accuses its own people in "Rusophobia". Amidst the treasonous policy of the Ivanishvili regime, I call on the international community to strongly condemn illegal "presidential elections" in Tskhinvali Region as yet another attempt by the Russian Federation to redraw the borders of the European state and continue its firm support to Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. It's critical that the international community confronts Russia's policy of aggression and annexation be it Ukraine, Georgia or elsewhere. It was Georgia, in 2008, who suffered first Russia's open aggression, invasion and occupation, which now continues towards the annexation.

Today’s Weimar Triangle meeting comes at a critical time for European security. As Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine continues and Georgia remains under Russian occupation, a unified, holistic security approach is more critical than ever. Where achieving EU-wide consensus is challenging, formats like the Weimar Triangle are vital for countries like Georgia. Expanding this framework into a "Weimar Plus UK" format should also be considered to make our European defense even more effective. While our neighbors, Armenia and Azerbaijan, work with our key American partners to build peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus, Georgia’s absence speaks volumes about the cost of Georgian Dream’s deliberate self-isolation and anti-American course. Georgia was traditionally the natural diplomatic, business & security hub in the region. Today, because of Georgian Dream’s treacherous policy, which undermines national interests, we aren't even in the room. The GD has managed to diminish Georgia’s strategic advantages, leaving it off the diplomatic map. We must restore Georgia's true role as a key business, security and diplomatic partner in the region for the US.

By repeating Moscow’s propaganda and blaming Georgia for the 2008 Russian aggression, the GD leadership and Ivanishvili’s regime continue to openly betray Georgia's national interests committing a heavy crime against our state. Their treacherous rhetoric directly serves the occupant power and their proxies, providing the Kremlin with legal and political claims to frame Georgia as the aggressor while undermining our sovereignty, territorial integrity and sabotaging fundamental principles of international law. Let us be clear: attempts to rewrite the history in the 21st century are doomed to failure, while those who commit act of treason against their own people will be remembered and held responsible. Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and its European future will prevail.

18 years ago today, Russia openly invaded Georgia, occupying Abkhazia & Tskhinvali Region. We honor our heroes who sacrificed everything to defend our homeland. Today, occupation continues and Moscow accelerates de-facto annexation. Yet, instead of mobilizing international support, the Georgian Dream govt blames Georgia for the war, stays passive on annexation and cynically decries "Russophobia". In 2008, weak international response encouraged Russian annexation of Crimea and, eventually full scale invasion of Ukraine. The root cause is identical and must be addressed wherever Moscow wages war or hybrid attacks. Amid GD’s appeasement, we urge the international community to firmly support Georgia’s sovereignty & condemn Russia's annexation steps.

Today the EU foreign ministers discussed the implementation of the EU Black Sea strategy, however Georgia is nowhere to be seen. Being a Black Sea littoral country and the EU membership candidate, Georgia should have been one of the major stakeholders of this strategy, but again, due to the anti-European and anti-Georgian policy of the "Georgian Dream" government, which deliberately isolates the country from its strategic partners, Georgia is loosing another geopolitical opportunity to benefit from the EU BS strategy. As emphasized by the High Commissioner @kajakallas , the GD cannot even normally communicate with the EU, loosing the vital momentum and depriving the country its natural place in the new Black Sea regional architecture, closely integred with Europe. Georgian people deserve their place within Europe, sharing the common regional and European future.

Shameful performance by Georgian Dream delegation at @oscepa #TheHagueAS2026. Unable to deceive the OSCE community with their lies, GD delegation walked out, drawing a just and appropriate response from the OSCE PA President @perejoanpons. GD has completely ruined its reputation: at home, they fight the truth with violence, imprisonment and fines; abroad, with embarrassing tantrums. While Russia accelerates its annexation processes in occupied Tskhinvali region, GD sabotages a major security platform instead of using it to mobilize our allies. This is a severe, direct blow to Georgia’s national security and vital interests.

The recent statement by RU MFA regarding ongoing "confidential" talks on moving the Geneva format to a new "neutral" location, are extremely alarming. This would effectively dismantle the format, delivering a heavy blow to Georgia's territorial integrity. We demand @MFA_Georgia to clarify: is Georgian Dream Government part of these secret talks? What is the government's position on the statement of Zakharova? For months, Georgian Dream has breen hiding the vital information of IPRM meetings, while Russian officials and their proxies expressed satisfaction and hopes regarding the GD position on Chorchana, which compromises our national interests. This dangerous trend started with Ivanishvili’s "apology" to Tskhinvali occupation regime, followed by the investigation on Chorchana, where in 2019 we deployed police checkpoint to stop illegal borderization and protect Georgian citizens. This "investigation" against me, using the same accusation as the occupant regime, demonstrates collaboration between GD and the occupant power. The Geneva format, is the only international mechanism, for a peaceful conflict resolution and de-occupation respecting territorial integrity of Georgia. Replacing it with a RU-defined "neutral" format threatens our vital national interests.
