Once again, a school—this time in Oregon, USA—a place where children should feel safest, has become the scene of devastating violence. Three children, aged just 5, 8 and 11, lost their lives. This marks the 28th mass killing in the U.S. this year, with the attacker being just 16 years old. These tragedies cannot continue to be met with words alone. It is time for concrete action. Through the @oscepa Ad Hoc Committee on Countering Terrorism School Dialogues, we must strengthen efforts to prevent youth violence and radicalization by listening to young people, building resilience and promoting education and dialogue.
