Singapore is a key strategic partner for the United States in the Indo-Pacific, and my insightful discussion with Singapore’s Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Albert Chua underscored this point. We discussed advancing our technology security, civil nuclear energy, and Singapore’s vision for its ASEAN chair year in 2027.
Relations between the U.S. and Iceland are stronger than ever. I sat down with Foreign Minister @thorgkatrin to explore avenues to deepen our bilateral cooperation, including via increased investment in our shared Arctic security and potential opportunities for broader defense and security-related cooperation.
It was my pleasure to host embassy leaders from the GCC countries and Jordan for another frank discussion on regional security. Our close cooperation is critical to Operation Economic Outcast, as we work together to cut Iran and its proxies off from the last remaining lifelines to the global economy.
The ICC was meant to be a court of last resort. At the @BledStratForum, I highlighted how the ICC’s expansion beyond its mandate undermines states' sovereignty. @SecRubio is leading the charge to dismantle the ICC and end the threat it poses to the United States and our partners.
Earlier today at the @BledStratForum, I spoke about the future of the U.S.-Europe relationship and what we need from Europe as a strategic partner. As @SecRubio emphasized in Munich, our shared history, heritage, and values remain our foundation. To strengthen that partnership, we should focus on secure borders, sound migration policy, political liberty, and reforming or eliminating multilateral institutions that no longer serve their purpose.

I spoke with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Khanal this morning about their search-and-rescue efforts, including the urgent efforts to locate our missing citizens. The @StateDept is quickly deploying $500,000 in assistance to flood-affected communities while @USEmbassyNepal is coordinating with local authorities on efforts to assist U.S. nationals. The United States stands with the people of Nepal during this difficult time and will continue to support relief and recovery efforts.
Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Shisir Khanal received a telephone call from the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs H. E. Allison Hooker @UnderSecStateP today.
During the call, Under Secretary Hooker conveyed sincere condolences of the US Government on the loss of lives and property caused by the devastating flash flood yesterday. She expressed support and solidarity of the US Government in helping Nepal cope with the situation, and rescuing missing individuals, including US nationals.
Hon. Minister Khanal highlighted the ongoing search and rescue efforts being carried out by the Government and expressed his sincere thanks for the US Government’s offer to support Nepal at this difficult time. He added that the Government of Nepal is utilising all resources at its disposal for the search, rescue and relief efforts for those affected.

I had a productive call today with India’s Foreign Secretary Misri reaffirming our commitment to the Indian Ocean Strategic Venture and a free & open Indo-Pacific. Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States and India are expanding our partnership to deliver real solutions to regional challenges.
Last week, I welcomed National Security Adviser Ribadu to Washington, D.C. for the second U.S.–Nigeria Joint Working Group. The United States remains steadfastly committed to safeguarding Christian communities. Throughout our discussions, we identified concrete steps to protect Christians facing violence in Nigeria, which we expect to see continued progress on. Headed back to Washington after a brief but very productive visit to Seoul. Our initial discussions on U.S.-ROK nuclear cooperation were a success and set the stage for continued technical conversations. As we open new areas of cooperation, we continue to push for progress on existing economic and security related issues.
In my meetings with ROK officials, we underscored the need to remain in lock step as we navigate shifting global dynamics and challenges, from ensuring the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to strengthening critical supply chains and countering regional threats.
We’ve set ambitious goals, but our alliance is up to the task!
