A very good and timely conversation with UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham. Thank you for the support and for your condolences to all those who have lost loved ones because of Russian attacks. I briefed the Prime Minister on such Russian strikes that have continued unabated throughout the day today against various Ukrainian cities – aerial bombs, “shaheds,” ballistic missiles. Air defense is, of course, the first priority.
And, importantly, there should be real decisions to protect lives in Ukraine and to support our joint work in Europe for security. British leadership is always significant, and it matters that the UK will continue to ramp up sanctions pressure on Russia for its escalation. We discussed this and what could truly help diplomacy work. We are preparing the right joint steps and a meeting. Thank you.

I spoke earlier to my Ukrainian counterpart, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, after another day of appalling Russian air attacks against Ukraine.
I expressed my gratitude to him for welcoming me earlier this week and our continued solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with them and will continue to do so until they prevail.

20 years on from the killing of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, the @MediaFreedomC – which the UK chairs with Finland – has called on Russia to bring those responsible for her murder to justice, and ensure the safety of journalists who speak truth to power.
The Media Freedom Coalition has published a statement marking 20 years since the assassination of Anna Politkovskaya.
"Impunity for crimes against journalists and media workers cannot prevail."

These attacks are in stark violation of international humanitarian law and must end now.

Putin's war depends on money, oil revenues and the networks that help sustain them.
Today, the UK is imposing 38 new sanctions to disrupt those networks.
The message is simple: if you help Russia fund or equip this war, you will face the consequences.

No human rights defender should face intimidation for engaging with @OSCE. ODIHR regrets comments targeting Georgian civil society representatives for their participation at the 2026 Warsaw Human Dimension Conference. HRDs must be able to speak freely without fear of retaliation.

This morning along with @ZelenskyyUa I visited Pryluky in Ukraine, the site of a horrific attack by Russia earlier this week.
22 innocent people lost their lives there, including tragically 5 children, as a result of Putin's barbaric war of terror on the Ukrainian people.
My message was clear: we will stand with the people of Ukraine for as long as it takes.

No child should have to live in fear of missile attacks.
Today I met Ukrainian children and families affected by Russia's brutal aggression.
Their courage is extraordinary. The UK's support for Ukraine remains unwavering.
