World Vision is deeply concerned following the Ministry of Health's confirmation of Kenya's first imported case of Ebola (Bundibugyo) virus disease. Preventing further transmission is now critical.
@WorldVisionKE is strengthening infection prevention measures and working with health authorities to protect children and communities.
Containing Ebola requires equipped health workers, accurate information to counter fear and stigma, and strong regional cooperation.
Children must remain at the centre of the response. World Vision stands ready to work with governments and partners to prevent further transmission and keep communities safe.

Day Two of the #AmaniConference closed with stakeholders turning dialogue into commitments towards a peaceful, cohesive and democratic 2027 General Election.
Building on yesterday’s deliberations, the forum engaged in critical conversations on responsible political leadership and ethical campaigning, emphasising the need for issue-based politics, respect for democracy and peaceful engagement during the electoral period and beyond.
A key milestone was the presentation of the Political Parties Peace Charter for the 2027 General Elections, which was presented to political parties for review and consideration as a framework for strengthening responsible political conduct and promoting peaceful electoral competition.
The two-day forum culminated in the adoption of a Joint Communiqué, bringing together shared commitments by stakeholders to safeguard peace and national cohesion.
The Communiqué calls for strengthened early warning and response mechanisms, responsible communication, peaceful coexistence and collective action against violence, hate speech, ethnic contempt and other conduct that threatens Kenya’s peace.

Today, we brought together Development Partners and Civil Society Organisations to ask a critical question: How do we protect the gains of 14 years of devolution and make the fourth cycle even stronger?
For FY 2026/27, our partnership agenda is simple yet comprehensive: to strengthen County institutions, modernise data systems, review our legal and policy frameworks, deepen accountability and citizen participation, and build stronger disaster and climate resilience.
Our partners reaffirmed their commitment to supporting devolution, with a strong call for better coordination, greater alignment with county priorities and ensuring that support reaches communities where it matters most.
As we prepare for the next phase of devolution, our shared priority is clear: protect the gains made over the past 14 years, ensure continuity of county services and build stronger, more responsive County Governments.
I appreciate our Development Partners and CSOs for their continued partnership and look forward to working together to make the fourth cycle of devolution stronger and more effective.

With the 2027 General Elections on the horizon, we believe peace cannot wait until campaigns begin. @irck_info joined @NCIC_Kenya and @WorldVisionKE together with faith leaders from across the country, for the National Inter-Religious Leaders' Consultative Meeting on National Cohesion and Peaceful Elections in Nairobi.
We confronted the risks already shaping this electoral cycle: hate speech, misinformation, ethnic mobilisation, digital incitement and political violence. As faith leaders, we hold a rare kind of trust in Kenyan society as moral authorities, mediators and community anchors and we are choosing to use it early, not after harm has already been done.
For us, one thing is non-negotiable: youth engagement is not an afterthought. It is central to how we are approaching this electoral period. Young people must be engaged as partners and peace actors not only noticed when we fear they may become perpetrators or victims of political violence.
That's why our commitments countering digital hate, strengthening early warning and mediation, and coordinating peace messaging nationwide are built to include young Kenyans as leaders in the work, not subjects of it.
Peace in 2027 starts with what we do today. #PeacefulElections2027 #FaithsForPeace
