So a team (the kings) who hasn’t won a single game yet, who are in legit last place in the division and tied in last place in the league, has a better playoff chance than the sharks? This is why I have this account blocked

99 had as many as 23 points in 8 games (as 97 does now) to start a #LetsGoOilers season exactly once. In 1984-85, he had 10g, 13a after 8 games. Gretz finished that season with 208 points (73g, 135a). And the Oilers won their second #StanleyCup
Most view Gretzky's 200 pt yrs as the tip of the iceberg.
If you watched him play, you could argue, his all around game was at its best from '86-'87, the Canada Cup & '87-'88.
IMO, we're seeing something similar from McDavid. Reaching another level later in his career #Oilers

Among NHL D with 100+ minutes at 5v5, Bouchard is:
1st in GF/60 (7.44)
6th in GA/60 (0.78)
36th in xGF/60 (3.24)
T2nd in xGA/60 (1.65)
The offence has been crazy, but the underlying numbers suggest the Oilers should have a 2:1 edge in his minutes - mostly thru great defence.

Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!"
Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point."
This post is not about cars :)

Let’s have BOTH!
They don’t have to be mutually exclusive!
I don't want flying cars.
I want rivers and ocean I can swim in with friends.
I want food that isn't full of toxic chemicals and clean soil to grow it in.
I want raw nature and wilderness and places on the earth I can get lost without seeing another human.
I want air that isn't "geoengineered" and polluted.
Science is cool. Technological advancement is cool, but I don't think this makes us happier as humans.
Real human connection and clean, natural food lead to happiness. This I know. Flying cars? I'm not sure.
Maybe I am a troglodyte...

Oh I'm sorry, was the first flying car not fucking cool enough for you?

New Roadster is
beyond movies,
beyond imagination,
beyond human,
yet still made

"Why did they waste so much time making a flying car no one can use in the real world?"
Because not everything is about whether you can imagine it being useful to you. Because like art, sometimes we make things for the glory and challenge of making them. Because we don't know if what we'll learn will make your toaster work better and you'll never realize it because you take for granted that things get better without thinking through how that happens. Because you can't inspire people with toasters, but a barrel-rolling car that can drive upside down is absolutely setting someone on fire right now.
I'm not a car person and you shouldn't trust me with a rocket, but I want a roadster because I make art and that thing is absolutely a thing made for love and passion and I get that in my heart.
(Also because I'd look really cool in one.)🤣
Elon Musk was plotting this since 2019 no way 😭

Replying to @MKBHD
I’m not. Will use SpaceX cold gas thruster system with ultra high pressure air in a composite over-wrapped pressure vessel in place of the 2 rear seats.

a car just did something straight out of science fiction and half the internet immediately started debating commercial viability
not every engineering achievement needs a fucking business model. you are allowed to experience wonder

Ref misses a clear penalty then has thin skin and calls a bench minor. Classic.

43 years ago today, the #Flames played the first NHL game at the Saddledome.
Jari Kurri scored the first goal in Saddledome history, while Lanny McDonald scored the Flames first goal. Grant Fuhr made 38 saves to lead the Oilers to a 4-3 win.
