I can't see how Hellebuyck could be allowed back into the Jets room. Let him do his thing away from team and see if he's interested in a conditioning stint. Outside of that, he collects his pay cheque and waits. He made the ask, so now he gets to eat it.

If the Oilers get that version of Walman on a regular basis, they are going to be a handful for any team in this league to deal with.

I think he's still settling into tye role. I like him quite a bit & expect that to increase as the season goes along.

Most view Gretzky's 200 pt yrs as the tip of the iceberg. If you watched him play, you could argue, his all around game was at its best from '86-'87, the Canada Cup & '87-'88. IMO, we're seeing something similar from McDavid. Reaching another level later in his career #Oilers

It's still early in the Oilers campaign but the goaltending is doing what I was expecting it to do. The occassional timely stop & eliminating the ill-timed goals against makes a huge difference. Both on the scoreboard and in the heads of all the players. Love to see it.
Call me crazy but when it comes to goaltending, I remain most skeptical of what Andersen can give the Oilers...this season. I've been on the Levi bus for a couple of years now. I fully expect him to excel. I know I'm in the minority but if healthy I think Jarry will be good.

For me, when healthy, these are inarguably the Oilers 13 forwards: 97, 29, 92, 93, 18, 22, 42, 16, 10, 43, 21, 19, 34 There's always going to be injuries but the regular 12 has to come from this group.

This could be one of those moments for Frederic. He's been pretty solid this season and this just adds to it. His teammates won't forget this tilt either.
A MONSTER FIGHT BETWEEN JACK MCBAIN AND TRENT FREDERIC 😳

Over the past three seasons per AllThreeZones, Draisaitl ranks first among current Oiler forwards in controlled zone exits per 60. Second place belongs to Mathieu Joseph.
Mathieu Joseph turns on the jets and scores his FIRST GOAL with the Oilers to make it 3-0 Edmonton 👀🚨

I was hoping the Oilers would come out & deliver an ass-kicking to quiet those who felt the loss to the Mammoth was a sign of things to come. This goes well beyond that & sends a clear message. This team is focused, much more relaxed, having fun & going to get better. Impressive

I get Ohtani and the Dodgers are a confident bunch & that had to have felt nice. Not the approach you want to take down 0-3 in a series.
The reaction from Shohei Ohtani as he broke his home run drought!

I get shitting on RNH has become a thing over the past few seasons for chunks of this fan base. Until the Oilers actually replace him in the lineup, there are few players on this roster who are missed more when he's out of the lineup.

As a collective, can't be overly disappointed with the Oilers. A regulation loss was coming. You can only hold on for so long with the amount of bodies they're missing. It's going to take time but if they figure out the penalty kill, this team is going to pile up points.

Glad to see Levi get the start again. He's earning these nods and allowing Jarry to find his game, on the road, is the way to go. This Oilers MASH unit is getting to the point of absurdity.
OUT tonight for EDM Hyman, RNH, Walman. Levi starts. Dickinson limped off ice halfway thru practice.

I find it curious why Oilers fans have the need to shit on Makar when he makes a bad play because others who know nothing about Bouchard's game slag him for his. Two idiotic claims don't make anything better. In all honesty, who cares. Just enjoy the guy you have on your side.

Yes, the Oilers were outshot. Which seems to always be the case against LA. With that said, it was controlled & there were very few of those awful reads/decisions that led to ridiculous chances against. With the bodies they're missing, I'll take this. Goalies doing their part

It's early days but Levi has been exactly the guy I was hoping he'd be for Edmonton. He's going to allow goals but the timely stop is a real thing with him. Many an Oilers goalie of recent vintage were missing said gene. 27 appears to have it in spades.

It's cool that they brought all the injured guys for the game as well. Believe it or not, team bonding is super important
Football Sundays 🏈 The #Oilers are taking in a little @Broncos vs. @chargers action on their day off in LA! #LetsGoOilers
