Miriam Kalamian's book Keto for Cancer is great. And Nasha Winters Metabolic Approach to Cancer

What would constitute a pattern? 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000?

If there was a drug that had these numbers doctors wouldn't be commenting on the small sample size (which the authors are extremely upfront about), they'd be eagerly anticipating the next larger trial. No current Standard of Care for GBM has a 3 year survival rate.

Yes. She's doing well! Thank you. Mostly she has issues created by the traditional "treatments", no cancer issues.

Yes, it is really unfortunate that most people with early stage cancer don't know about metabolic treatments. For many people they could be enough on their own. But patients get rushed into treatment these days without knowing their options.

1,600 people a day die from cancer in the US. I don't think the medical community should be claiming they are so definitively sure about cancer treatments.

We are offering a cash reward for anyone that can show us evidence of cancer cells growing on fatty acids and ketone bodies in the absence of glucose and glutamine. Here is evidence showing that cancer cells cannot. doi.org/10.1101/2024.04.18.5…: doi.org/10.1007/s43152-024-0…

Sure, a cell turning cancerous is a sliding scale. So "some" cancers (read: earlier stages) may use lipids. They're more like a normal cell. But most late stage cancers lean towards glucose. For fatty acid oxidation you need healthy mitochondria.

That makes sense. The more damaged mitochondria are the less they function like normal cells. When half the mitochondria are gone, like in late stage cancers, minimal fatty acids or keystones are probably being used.

What cancers use ketones? I know Dr.'s Seyfried and Duraj want to know. Fatty acid oxidation isn't possible either if mitochondria are broken. @tnseyfried @TommyDeeMD

Thank you Prof. Seyfried @tnseyfried for adding this critical topic to our 4th International Keto Live Conference - we will raise this important question twice: 1. On the evening of the 13th of June - "Are our human rights ignored - if essential medical information - like the scientifically proven and medical sound benefits of Ketogenic Metabolic Therapies are not offered as a powerful medical tool to prevent and treat NCD? 2. And of course, on our Panel with Brad & Maggie Jones @CancerEvolves on the 14th of June the day traditionally dedicated to Cancer. We will miss you! Should financial toxicity, caused by high cancer drug prices, be considered immoral or an acceptable adverse effect of profiteering? (B. Abbott & P. Loftus, Wall Street Jour., May 28, 2024) (hdl.handle.net/2345/bc-ir:10…).
