Evidence from medical journals show the efficacy of the #CarnivoreDiet in a multitude of diseases across countries and time going back to the 1790’s meatrition.com/all-history
I've made lots of changes to my website. Here's a list of all the Databases in a thread. I built it as a pet project to keep track of history, science, and nutrition concerning the #CarnivoreDiet in a way where each individual argument, historical event, book, etc can be linked.

"The brain must have glucose!" That's what we've all been taught. Our new study is the first evidence suggesting it may not.
We kept slices of mouse brain alive in fluid with no glucose and only the ketone BHB as fuel. After 4 hours, the mitochondria were still producing energy, and the tissue could repeatedly trigger and recover from spreading depolarizations, an electrical wave that takes a large amount of energy. Tissue given no fuel couldn't.
In a living person, how much glucose the brain uses mostly reflects how much is available, and ketone uptake rises as blood ketones rise. Any small remaining glucose need is met by the body's own glucose production. The evidence is clear that the brain needs energy, not dietary carbs.

New review article on diet questions discusses the carnivore diet - full text in images below
TLDR: In summary, although there is an emerging body of observational literature on carnivore diets, there is a scarcity of evidence, besides anecdotal, to support it as a universal solution to diet-related public health issues

The article “The Surprising Science of an All-Meat Diet,” which I published last week, is now on the most-read list for health articles and uptrending.
This morning, I also finished an interview with a major newspaper in the United Kingdom that was interested in covering my perspective on saturated fat and cholesterol for National Cholesterol Month in the UK.
A brief summary of my two major positions, because I don’t think they’re at all radical. I’ll be as concise as possible and link to more information below.
1) First, the carnivore diet is a tool, not a religion.
It’s a mistake to present it as the best diet for humans or to make strong claims that go beyond the literature, such as that it will improve longevity.
What we can say, accurately and humbly, is that it’s helping many people who have struggled with debilitating disorders and failed to find support through conventional approaches.
We can also say that there is strong biological plausibility for many of the conditions for which it’s being used, including mental health disorders and autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
That’s not definitive proof. But it’s a possibility that deserves curiosity and compassion, not disdain.
If you want the full scientific breakdown in video form: “The Strange Science of Eating Only Meat”

2) The second major point I’ll make is that CONTEXT matters.
Meat is vilified largely because of its saturated fat and cholesterol content. However, when it comes to improving the cardiometabolic health of the general population, focusing on reducing saturated fat intake is like worrying about a mosquito when you’re being chased by a tiger.
We now have randomized controlled trial data showing that low-carbohydrate ketogenic diets (despite typically being much higher in saturated fat and cholesterol) can provide greater improvements in many cardiometabolic risk markers than low-fat plant-based or Mediterranean-style diets higher in carbohydrates, particularly in people with obesity and insulin resistance.

At the end of the day, I don’t fancy myself a carnivore fanboy. Just carnivore-curious and open-minded. That’s enough.
P.S. There’s a tendency to make meat and diet unnecessarily political. Resist that tendency. What’s on my plate does not inform what I do at the ballot box. Stereotypes impair our ability to have thoughtful academic discourse.
Ht/ @MikhailaFuller for her contribution (including the click-boost from her adorable baby) @EpochTimes
Kudos to @MikhailaFuller for sharing her story with The @EpochTimes and discussing the carnivore diet in a way that is not dogmatic nor tribal.

Conclusion: "Maybe we’ve been framing the carnivore diet wrong all along: it’s not a religion to join or a movement to mock, but a tool...occasionally exactly the right tool for the right person at the right moment in their life. It deserves rigorous study, an open mind, and above all, curiosity."
If you don’t think that’s reasonable, I’d take a look in the mirror.

I missed this.
“John McDougall, Santa Rosa vegan diet pioneer and bestselling author, dies at 77”
77 isn't very old.
His mentor, Nathan Pritikin, whose diet ideas McDougall shared, died at 71.
The Pritikin Longevity Center is still, nevertheless, in business.
There's a long history of vegans dying young.
And a long history of excuses being made for their early demise.
Diet is never considered by other vegans to be the cause.
@bigfatsurprise did a debate once in NYC against a vegan doctor, whose name I can't remember.
When the debate was over, they took questions from the audience. We lined up to get to the microphone.
I stood behind McDougall. I'll never forget.
He stank. Like death itself. The odor coming from the man's bowels was indescribably foul. I tried to hold my breath but the line was too long.
It's no surprise to me he died at 77...
In Japan, they did a survey of the country's centenarians, those over 100.
They didn't find a single vegetarian centenarian.
In a country where the use of a vegetarian diet went back almost 1000 years.
Increased longevity was associated with increased meat and milk consumption.
If you want to increase longevity, the vegan diet may be the worst imaginable intervention.
I'm thinking of @bryan_johnson , of course.

It boggles my mind how much time people spend worrying about ApoB and LDL.
Variable importance analysis identified dyslipidemia, age, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, waist circumference, self-rated health expectations, pain, cooking fuel type, weight change, and cystatin C as the top-ranked predictors common to both algorithms.

In fatal COVID-19, we observed a coherent cross-organ reduction in long-chain n–3 substrate pools driven primarily by depletion of EPA and DPA. DHA showed tissue-specific preservation or relative elevation, most notably in brain, adipose tissue, and spleen. Adipose tissue, the primary reservoir, showed a severe imbalance characterized by an approximately 3.3-fold increase in the n–6/n–3 ratio (median 50.66 vs. 15.56; p = 0.004) and lower total n–3 content (0.93 vs. 2.76 mg/g; p = 0.004).
