Whenever i hear commentators say “but the LLM is just simulating a smart person, its not actually smart” I think, I’ve met many people who have passed the benchmark for being “intelligent” this way…

I think a lot more people would find success if they understood that they don’t seek, want nor are capable of the glamorised extremes of success and wealth they are forced to fed everyday.

Tigers are beautiful creatures that exemplify the harshness of the natural world. The principles of the natural world are horrifying and we as humans are yet to separate from its adversarial nature.

So I setup a system which assesses decisions I make against the long term values. The system would then prompt me to consider how a choice I was making conflicted with my goals. It would then also prompt me to consider whether I needed to reprioritise my values.

A really interesting example was when I was considering a business opportunity. The opportunity would involve becoming a somewhat public figure. The system raised that this conflicted with my strong desire for privacy and would, likely, in the long term result in dissatisfaction.
