The level of entitlement and god complex these people have is unreal.
GenAi developers like, Jason who works at Anthropic, pretend like they were forced to build bad tech. And now that their irresponsible actions are clear and felt in full force, he blames everyone else, while still demanding to be a part of the solution? True Psychopath shit.

Happened to my son too, at a private school in Dallas. Teacher gave everyone their papers back, but not my son’s and said he needed to see him after class because he didn’t think he had written it, that it was too good. Luckily, Same as you, we didn’t hire a tutor, my husband tutored him and made him write make corrections and rewrite that paper several times, so he had all the evidence. Complete insanity!

El historial de versiones del documento. 214 revisiones. Tampoco. No denuncié a nadie.

Hinton isn't warning about a virus; he calls AI "alien beings". The moment you drop consciousness down to "virus-level," the entire sci-fi rogue AI takeover narrative collapses into standard biosecurity and cyber-risk management. Real risks (claims 1 and 2) require biosecurity, cybersecurity, containment, and accountability, not apocalyptic panic over digital overlords.

Today and everyday in AI cybersecurity: + "Fix your sh*t." + "I wish Dario understood cyber."
The AI cybersecurity discourse is so stupid. Beyond stupid actually. It's utterly incoherent. Improve your security. That's the only takeaway that matters.

(4/4) The first two claims (social harms and corporate negligence) are observable and warrant concrete institutional responses. Neither establishes the third. Claims of consciousness require plausible causal mechanisms, supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, and falsifiable tests. Hinton’s scientific contributions deserve recognition. However, his ideas and arguments must stand on their own evidence, not his authority. A Nobel Prize establishes past achievement, not the validity of future predictions.

(3/) To evaluate AI risk, we need to untangle three very different claims: + ML amplifies real social harms (bias, disinformation). + Corporations deploy systems irresponsibly. + Machines will become or are conscious superintelligences that destroy humanity. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

Find the vulns, fix your stuff, eliminate tech debt, and repeat. These have been primary objectives and SOPs decade after decade, and they will continue to be. AI simply helps us do this at hyper-speed when used well.

Every year I think we should start a back to basics and how to baseline talks because it always comes back to the same stuff. Check configs, patch, scan, and know your environment.

I get the feeling that the secret that Anthropic and OpenAI have been trying to keep from the public is just how easy it is to create a frontier model (given money and compute, to some degree). Proof of this is how quickly Meta and Grok have been able to launch models that are close to the frontier. Further proof is that GLM and Kimi aren't far behind, and without all the 'safeguards' become immensely more valuable to both attackers and defenders. So, it's starting to appear that all the FUD about AI safety and calls for regulation were really to try to create a moat for OpenAI and Anthropic that would give them a chance to survive in a work where frontier models become commodotized. That world looks like it's much closer than I previously thought - feels like this is all going to manifest in less than 6 months. Good for us all in the long run - bad for Anthropic and OpenAI who wanted to be the category king without any competition.

Fix your shit. Don’t ignore patching, rotate API keys, have OAuth, remove users that are no longer with the company that still have accounts in SaaS tools. Don’t ask me how I know that one lol

We've all known the internet was held together with chewing gum and bailing wire for years. This isn't unlike when fuzzing as a technique was invented. Also "Fix your shit" merch drop soon?
