I have a BIG announcement! When I embraced #OpenScience in 2017, it was challenging, but mentorship from senior leaders in academia was the support that I needed. Their guidance helped me navigate the difficulties and reinforced the importance of a supportive academic community where I can try out new tactics.
That’s why I’m excited to share the Advancement of Replications Initiative in Management (ARIM), co-led along with Andreas Schwab and Billy Obenauer. We are devoted to building a highly collaborative research community between doctoral students and leaders in management and related areas via replication-focused research. We hope to build on the literature through highly collaborative literal and constructive replication projects.
We have three planned for summer 2024.
Project 1: The Dark Side of Goal Setting (arimweb.org/replications-ini…)
Project 2: The Romance of Leadership (arimweb.org/replications-ini…)
Project 3: Industry Cluster Dynamics (arimweb.org/replications-ini…)
Click here (arimweb.org/replications-ini…) to learn more about participating.
If you are a doctoral student who wants to participate, please consider applying (tinyurl.com/yrprw87r).
🔄 Retweet to advocate for more mentorship in #ManagementStudies and #GlobalResearch! #ARIM2024

Brainteasers at job interviews are a red flag
🚩Google found brainteasers don’t predict performance
🚩"Narcissism & sadism explained the likelihood of using brainteasers in an interview.”
🚩Odd questions ("Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized 🦆 or 100 duck-sized 🐴?") don’t work
