We must own our history and draft our own story moving forward to shan out the skewed narratives and depiction of Africans as inferior through the lens of our oppressors (the WEST). #AfricaUnite #PanAfricanism @pamrwanda @PaulKagame @BlakAmericans @alueducation
#Ebola virus is deadly. Early detection is essential to stop community transmission and infections. Consistent community sensitisation ensures everyone knows the signs, symptoms, and prevention methods. Strong communities are our first line of defense.
#Ebola continues to spread in the DRC and Kenya, raising concerns across Africa. Prompt action is key to preventing escalation. As @daktari1 notes, every index case starts at the community level. The most effective protection is investing in communities by strengthening local surveillance, ensuring early case detection, communicating risks clearly, and responding rapidly to contain the spread. Strong communities remain our first line of defence.

#Ebola is a deadly but preventable disease. It does not discriminate or respect borders. Strong community awareness and vigilance are our best defense. By strengthening surveillance and enhancing entry-point screenings, we can quickly detect and contain any potential outbreak, protecting everyone.
Protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community by staying alert and informed. Prevention starts with action; share accurate information and encourage others to follow safety guidelines.

My friends, you crossed oceans and helped build nations. You sent money home and taught your children to love a country some had never seen.
That love must never end with one generation.
We are moving to extend citizenship by descent to the great-grandchildren of Bajans. They, too, must have the choice to come home.
So bring the children. Bring the grandchildren. Let them walk where their grandparents walked. Let them feel the love behind the stories.
To our family in Toronto and across the world, you are ours. We are yours. There will always be a place for you here.

Africa’s pursuit of a healthy, sovereign future requires decisive action. Climate justice calls for major polluters to urgently reduce emissions and provide grant-based funding, enabling African nations to expand renewable energy, strengthen health systems, and protect those most affected by a crisis they did not create.
At #AHAIC2027, we will prioritise practical solutions by aligning policy, financing, and implementation to achieve measurable results.

As for the cricket lessons, those must happen in Barbados!
