Today, I congratulated Mr. Kilemi Francis Thambura , a former Presidential Digital Talent Programme trainee, following his conferment of the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) by H.E. President Dr. William S. Ruto, in recognition of his distinguished service to the nation through healthcare innovation, digital transformation and life-saving blood services.
Through @JijiHealth , Kilemi has turned technology and entrepreneurship into practical solutions to critical healthcare challenges. Its flagship platform, Damu Sasa, brings together blood donor mobilisation, collection, inventory management, transfusion services, haemovigilance and emergency blood coordination within one digital ecosystem.
The platform has supported collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Amref Health Africa, UNFPA and other partners, contributing to improved availability, traceability, safety and efficient utilisation of blood and blood products.
Kilemiโs journeyโfrom a digital talent trainee to a nationally recognised innovatorโis a powerful testament to what Kenyan talent can achieve when given the opportunity to innovate and solve Kenyan challenges.
