#cplusplus #compile thread, so I don't have to try to link them together in some horrible fashion
Want to get into the game dev industry? I made this (clickbait) mistake, too.
Also, you’re never too young or old.

I AM DRAMA FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Stumbled into this and I am amazed. I won’t be able to unhear it and it’s kinda the best thing.
Among my favorite moments working on God of War Ragnorak: creating bloody (but vegan) source with the Bob Ross of Gore @schapps, crafting harmonic overtone source for Mjolnir using Jeff Darby’s axe blanks from GOW 3. Our global Foley efforts don’t belong to any one person… (🧵)
I know I haven’t been posting much for a while, but I just gotta say… best team ever. Last night was a blast (and I’m sure I made a fool of myself, but That’s Okay!)

There is a general perception that C/C++ is only for peak performance cases, so API can be ugly — if you wanted easy and clear, you would be using a different language. I think that is unfortunate. It is possible to make “joyful API” in C.
whether I design top down or bottom up depends. for heavily user facing things, top down. for performance critical internals, bottom up. for most code, I use an iterative approach. create the minimal set of functionality needed for each step and refactoring as I go.

honestly, don't really worry about it. when you can recognize this kind of stuff, you've already graduated beyond it into a whole new level of "crap, I _really_ don't know anything..." :D
I don't know, I think this is some pretty advanced fixing, if I do say so myself.
