We have more resources and opportunities than ever before, yet staying consistent with our goals can still be difficult. You start learning something, building a project, or developing a habit, and before you know it, one missed day becomes three, and you've stopped showing up. @king_vic07 and I have experienced this too, so we decided to build something around it. Introducing Stake-Sync! 🚀 A Solana-powered accountability platform where you can create or join challenges around coding, fitness, studying, building projects, and more, while staying accountable and earning rewards for your consistency. And we're giving everyone FREE credits to get started! 🎉 You can use these credits to join challenges and experience the platform without depositing real money. We also added verification plugins like @github @LeetCode to help prove your progress, alongside an in-app bot to answer your questions and guide you through the platform. Stake-Sync is LIVE for testing! 🔗 usestakesync.xyz We've included a short demo video to show you how it works. Give it a try, invite your friends, and let us know what you think! If you have suggestions or feedback, feel free to DM @king_vic07 or me, or drop them in the comments. We'd really appreciate your support and reposts. Help us spread the word!

Hello @Uber @Uber_Canada @Uber_Support I need an explanation as to how one of your courier failed to deliver a customer’s food worth over $450, and I’m the one left to bear the loss as a small business owner.

There is no way around it: as software engineers, we must build more difficult things that try to solve even more complex problems to better people’s lives. The days of simple SaaS applications are long gone. Do hard, really hard things!

They said African languages were too fragmented, too complex and too commercially insignificant to build advanced AI for. We disagreed. So we built it. 64 languages. 166 voices. 3 billion parameters. ONE model. Today, we are unveiling STORM-Ensemble 3.0, the most capable multilingual speech synthesis model we have built at PlotWeaver. From Yorùbá, Igbo, Hausa and Nigerian Pidgin to Swahili, Amharic, Wolof, Zulu, Xhosa and dozens more, STORM-Ensemble 3.0 generates speech across 64 languages, with 166 distinct speaker voices. Every voice you hear is generated by our model, not a prerecorded sample. But the real breakthrough isn't the numbers. It's what becomes possible when this technology is in the hands of people who can build with it. -African filmmakers distributing stories across languages. -Banks and telcos serving customers in their mother tongues. -Education platforms reaching more children. -Developers building voice AI products without starting from scratch. We are not building AI for African languages simply to prove it can be done. We are building the infrastructure to make our languages commercially viable at global scale. Next week, I will be speaking at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Antigua about unlocking the Commonwealth's creative potential. This launch is a practical demonstration of that ambition. Africa must not simply consume the future of AI. We must build, own and shape the infrastructure that powers it. Watch the video. Listen to the voices. Imagine what's possible. Introducing STORM-Ensemble 3.0. PlotWeaver. Build Once. Speak Every Language. #PlotWeaver #STORMEnsemble #VoiceAI #AfricanLanguages

My team just won @ZenithBank’s Zecathon 6.0 🥳 With 1.2K+ applicants, a 1.6% acceptance rate, and 3 highly competitive stages, finishing 5th as the only student-led team from Nigeria in the finals makes this even more special. More details here bit.ly/4svhpCB

Universities should really give alumni lifetime access to the library. We paid enough for tuition, the least you can do is let us keep reading.

No one is noting this, but the good thing is they are all Nigerian investors. We are getting there gradually.
Lagos Life launched on October 1st. Just 9 days later, over 4.7 million people have played the game. Today, I’m excited to announce that Vatar, the parent company behind Lagos Life, has closed a $500K angel round led by AB Hassan (@ijbguy), Nathan Nwachuku (@_KingNath), and GB Agboola (@TechProd_Arch). Lagos is just the beginning. We’re building entire worlds, and there’s so much more to come. 🌍 vatar.com

They’re not losing the market to Bach. They left the B2C market to Bach while they pursued the bigger B2B pie. Flutterwave powers BRT in Lagos, paystack powers the train network from Yaba to Ibadan. They left the B2C market for something bigger. Great opportunity for Bach to grab..

Google wasn't the first search engine. The iPad wasn't the first tablet. Facebook wasn't the first social network. Tesla wasn't the first EV maker. Winning isn't about being first. It's about getting it right when the market is ready.

AI model horror story time At my last job, a engineering team (without ML background) built an AI classification model. It got 97+% accuracy, it got people promoted, and was running in production for about a year. Then there was a reorg and ownership of the model got transferred to our ML team. We analyzed the model... and found it was useless. The accuracy wasn't any better than random chance. There were several problems: 1. They weren't using useful features, so from the start it was impossible to get good accuracy 2. They did their train/test split wrong, so there was huge overlap which made results look good 3. They didn't know the importance of monitoring performance online, which would've shown something was wrong 4. They didn't get reviews by anyone with actual ML experience who could've caught these issues In the end all they did was waste months of development and money on compute. So reminder to everyone using agents to build AI systems: AI is extremely easy to do wrong. Spending time learning the basics instead of blindly trusting agents will go a long way
