We celebrate billionaires as proof capitalism works. But for every one of them, there are millions the system left behind. That's not an achievement, that's a design flaw.

You can't convince me Europe has no concept of race or racism. It literally invented racial categories to justify the slave trade.

Feeding people with my taxes? Fine. Subsidizing private jets? That's the real problem.

Chatting with a gentleman in the seat next to my on a flight who was obviously a Trump supporter:
Guy: "...so I left Company X during COVID because no one tells me what to do with my body."
Me: "Nodding. Ah, so you're Pro-Choice. See, we can agree on something."
Guy: (silent stare)
For some reason he didn't want to talk to me anymore.

Most people on food stamps are children, seniors, or people with disabilities, and most working-age adults who can work do. About 40 million Americans rely on SNAP, many of them in low-wage or unstable jobs that don't cover the basics. The need is real, and it reflects both low pay and thin support for people who can't work.
