gmgm. We build a lot, but sometimes it’s worth going back to the fundamentals. This time, I broke down ATAs, where our tokens actually live, and what happens when we mint them. Next, we’ll get into SPL token transfers, how ATAs make them possible and what changes on-chain. gonna be a good read❤️ article link: dev.to/ladipo_samuel_7cfaa82…

It’s been a great week. Lots of learning and a few nice chapters coming to an end :) Just wrapped up my time as Team Lead, Publicity & Community Management at @gdgoc_unilag , one of my favourite developer communities. Got to work with some amazing people and had a wonderful lead in @toluwani_ft .  I’ve also been speaking with some amazing DevRels lately, getting different perspectives and more exposure.  Big thanks to @Nonso_Obiefule for connecting me with @alexfavour . Really enjoyed our conversation, and he shared some things I’ll definitely be looking into. Tomorrow, we continue the @solana series. Great week ahead and stay tuned🙂‍↕️

Love seeing the plumbing behind tokens explained clearly. These fundamentals make it a lot easier to reason about what you're actually building.
Back to the Solana series :) We already created our SPL Token Mint. This time, I looked into metadata: where a token’s name, symbol and URI actually live, and how all of that connects back to the Mint. Took my time breaking this one down properly, so whether you’re learning @solana or just want a good technical read, you’ll enjoy this one. There’s a lot more to come with this series, so stick around :) Questions, thoughts and suggestions are always welcome. Article: dev.to/ladipo_samuel_7cfaa82… I’ll drop the post from the first part in the comments. The GitHub repo is there too.

gm everyone! Noticed quite a few new people have joined me here recently, so a quick reintroduction. I’m Samuel Ladipo, a DevRel Engineer. I write, build, make technical videos, work with developer communities, and occasionally find myself at hackathons. 12 wins so far :) Lately, I’ve been deep in Solana through @solanaturbine building and learning a lot. We’ve also been having Enrichment Week, which has been lovely, with people from @superteam , @SolanaFndn , @fyeo and across the ecosystem. On the DevRel side, I’ve written technical content with 4k+ reads, spoken at 12+ events, made videos breaking down tools/concepts, and spent a good amount of time trying products and giving founders feedback from a developer’s POV. I’m also looking forward to working with more founders and teams building interesting developer products, especially in Web3. Always happy to connect :) A while back, I said I’d start sharing more of what I’m learning and building in Web3. That hasn’t changed. I’ve got some @solana builds to share, articles I want to write, videos to make, and a few developer products I want to get my hands on. Big shoutout to @solanaturbine , @qubitn8 , @umacanadas , @shrinathx , @me256ow and everyone who’s shared their experience with us during Enrichment Week(@Gemke_Nicolas @SteveCleanBrook , @therealchaseeb , @miliannstx ). Been learning a ton. Good to be here. Cool stuff soon :)

Started @solanaturbine last week and we’re already in Week 2. It’s been super awesome! I planned from the start to document and apply everything I learn, but catching up properly with Week 1 took some time. Now I’m at the point where I can explain the concepts, not just write the code. Having built with @Cardano_CF and @SuiNetwork before, learning how @solana approaches things differently has been really interesting. I just published my first piece, breaking down Solana’s architecture: accounts, programs, instructions, transactions, PDAs and CPIs. Read: dev.to/ladipo_samuel_7cfaa82… Next, I’m getting practical with SPL tokens, metadata, minting, transfers, NFTs and Anchor. I’ll also share the repo as I build. i see this as another form of DevRel: learn, build, understand, then make it easier for someone else to understand. Hope we’re ready 😅🚀
