*nothing* can ever match the perfection that was the Six Feet Under ending:

Man Utd NEED to immediately move for Palhinha this window. And Toney in January. Casemiro needs a proper support box to box beside him.
He had one excellent season in 21-22. Beyond that his contributions — both before and after that season — has been inconsistent at best. And his club-level achievements are not because of him. Condescension will not prove any point you think you’re making.
Can you specify what you mean by mental(ity)? I’m arguing against signing mid tier players and showing more intelligence in our recruitment.
You’re missing the point. I’m not arguing that we not sign midfielders, we need them. But I’m far more interested in value. Signing up and coming youngsters from different leagues around the world is a far better strategy. Compared to signing unproven players at a premium.
I’m ok with not getting him. But to suggest that we won’t make it to the CL next season is not grounded in any data or unbiased reasoning. Happy to be proven wrong.
You genuinely think leaving the Serie A for one of the top clubs in the EPL is a downgrade? Forget the extra cash in his pocket.
I trust management more than my own armchair analysis, so I’m sure they see something specific in Mount. But from everything I’ve seen, I wouldn’t be pursuing a player like that at that price. The English tax is unfortunate.
