A 13-year-old wrote a free Polymarket bot, a stranger made $200,000 with it and sent him $20,000. Heartwarming story. One problem: the numbers keep changing.
In July, a different account posted the same story. Back then the kid was 14 and the thank-you was $18,000.
Same summer break. Same GitHub upload. Same “two months later.” Same $200,000 month.
Neither version names the kid. Neither links the repo. Neither shows the transfer or the trader.
When a story gets younger and richer every time it’s retold, it isn’t news. It’s a template.
And the template sells something. It tells you there’s a free trading bot on GitHub that can make you $200,000 a month, and all you have to do is find it and run it.
That is exactly the wrong lesson to take from it.
A trading bot needs access to your account or your wallet keys. Running a stranger’s code with those keys is how people lose money, not how they make it.
Just last week, attackers slipped malicious code into a third-party script on Polymarket’s own site. In under an hour it moved about $2.6 million from 726 wallets. Polymarket is refunding traders.
Free code is great. Unverified code with your money attached is not.
Watch the clip. Then ask the only question that matters: where are the receipts?

This is another edition of the Predict Alpha Report, our bi-monthly collaboration with @CoinsiliumGroup tracking the rise of prediction markets, event-driven finance, and the growing role of AI agents within it. Each edition focuses on the signals that matter, from capital flows and fundraising activity to regulatory shifts and product innovation. As information is increasingly priced in real time by both humans and machines, the Predict Alpha Report will track where these signals lead.

💰$1.4 Billion Linked To Election Day
According to CNN, trading on prediction markets linked to the 2026 US midterm elections has surpassed $1.4 billion. @Kalshi leads with nearly $1.1 billion in trading volume, while @Polymarket has recorded more than $340 million across its US and international platforms. People are betting on everything from election winners and voter turnout to candidate endorsements, debates, and campaign speeches.
The growth comes as US regulations become more favourable toward election betting, encouraging existing platforms to expand and new players to enter the market. PredictIt and ForecastEx are seeing increased activity, while UK-based @Smarkets is seeking approval to launch in the US. Beyond betting, these markets are increasingly observed as indicators of public expectations and how traders assess the likelihood of different outcomes. Trading is expected to pick up even more, as Election Day approaches.
💰 Inflation Futures
Kalshi plans to launch futures contracts tied to US inflation in December. The new products will track the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key measure of inflation, and core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices. Kalshi has brought in former Barclays trader Michael Ashton to help design the contracts and attract major banks, hedge funds and asset managers. The opportunity is significant, with the US inflation market including $2.2 trillion in Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) and more than $5.4 trillion in inflation swaps. Unlike Kalshi’s existing contracts that pay out based on whether an event happens, these futures would allow investors to trade changes in inflation expectations more directly and manage their exposure over time.
Kalshi hopes that offering standardised inflation contracts with fixed expiration dates and nearly round-the-clock trading will make the market more accessible, particularly for investors who currently rely on complex private agreements to trade inflation. While Kalshi has already built a large business around sports and event-based trading, attracting institutional investors would open up a very different source of growth.
And rounding up this section:
💰Predictive Labs’ Nijinn Brings Cross-Market Intelligence to the US Midterms
With the US midterm elections approaching, @nijinn_official's dedicated midterms platform brings prediction-market data into focus across Senate, House, and governor races. Developed by @Predictive_Labs, it combines Polymarket and Kalshi order-book data through Nijinn’s TruthIndex™ to produce a single liquidity-weighted probability for each outcome, while highlighting where the two venues’ probabilities diverge.
The platform offers an early preview of Nijinn Pro’s cross-venue analytics, with shareable graphics and live embeds helping journalists bring the data to their readers. Predictive Labs reports that it has shared the site with close to 1,000 US journalists and plans to extend the format to other major elections and sporting events, broadening Nijinn’s reach through timely, relevant applications.
Predictive Labs will exhibit at Web Summit Lisbon on 9–12 November 2026, with founder @johann_evrard showcasing Nijinn alongside leading figures in AI and blockchain.
📌 FYI: Predictive Labs is backed by Gibraltar-based venture builder, Coinsilium Group. Coinsilium’s shares are traded on the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market in London, under the ticker symbol "COIN", and on the OTCQB Venture Market in the United States under the ticker symbol "CINGF".
But it’s not just capital flowing into the space.

📈 Industry Pulse
⚡️Swaps Include Prediction Markets
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has proposed new rules that would formally classify prediction market contracts tied to sports, politics, culture, and weather as swaps, a type of financial contract whose value depends on an underlying asset or event. The proposal aims to clarify that prediction markets operating on federally registered exchanges fall under the CFTC’s authority rather than individual state gambling regulators.
The distinction matters for platforms like Kalshi, which have faced legal challenges as they expand across the US. If adopted, the proposal could give federally regulated prediction markets greater legal certainty and make it harder for states to restrict their operations.
⚡️ The First To...
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved Cboe Global Markets’ proposal to introduce contracts that let investors trade on specific company performance metrics rather than just share prices. @RobinhoodApp is expected to become the first retail brokerage to offer these products, covering more than 100 metrics across 23 companies. These include NVIDIA’s data-center revenue, Apple’s iPhone sales revenue, and Robinhood’s number of funded customers.
The contracts work as binary options, allowing traders to take positions on whether a company will meet a particular performance target. For Robinhood, this adds another product to its growing range of options, futures, and prediction markets, potentially creating a new source of trading revenue.
⚡️Prediction Markets 🤝 Stablecoins
@Underdog has partnered with crypto infrastructure provider @zerohashx to let users fund their prediction market and fantasy sports accounts using stablecoins and other digital assets. Announced at the NEXTPredict NYC Summit, the new feature is expected to launch later in 2026 for eligible users and will sit alongside existing payment options within the Underdog app.
The main benefit is speed. Unlike traditional bank transfers, which can face delays during evenings and weekends, stablecoin payments can be processed around the clock, allowing users to add funds to their accounts in near real time. Zerohash will handle the underlying crypto infrastructure, so users won’t need to manage complicated wallet addresses or blockchain networks themselves.
⚡️Kalshi on Phantom
Crypto wallet provider @Phantom is bringing Kalshi’s prediction markets directly into its app, allowing millions of US crypto users to trade on real-world events without leaving their wallets. The rollout began on October 23, and access will expand over the coming weeks. Users will need to complete identity verification through Kalshi and can fund trades using Phantom’s dollar-pegged CASH stablecoin.
Funds are converted into traditional currency for settlement, while winnings and withdrawals return to users’ Phantom Cash accounts. Trading fees are set at $0.02 per contract, plus a small network fee. The integration gives Kalshi access to Phantom’s existing crypto user base while making regulated prediction markets more accessible to people already familiar with digital assets.
At the same time,
⚡️Bitcoin-Backed Trades
@Kalshi is expanding its crypto offerings through a new partnership with digital asset custodian @BitGo, allowing eligible institutional clients to borrow against their cryptocurrency holdings to fund leveraged futures trades. Through Kalshi Prime, customers will be able to use Bitcoin, Ethereum, and selected stablecoins held at BitGo as collateral for loans, rather than selling their crypto to raise cash.
The borrowed funds can then be used to support margin positions on Kalshi’s trading platform, allowing investors to take larger positions with less upfront cash, although this also increases their exposure to potential losses. Kalshi plans to add more crypto custodians to the network in the coming months, giving clients greater flexibility in how they fund their trades. The partnership marks another step in Kalshi’s efforts to move beyond event-based prediction markets and compete in the broader derivatives trading industry.
And that’s it!

polymarket.com/@andy8980?via…
#Polymarket

Starting Friday, August 14 at 00:00 UTC, all 5-minute crypto markets will move from a 30-second to a 60-second TWAP window.
This change is intended to improve market integrity and provide a smoother trading experience by further reducing the impact of short-term price movements.

Community pushed TWAP from 30 to 60 seconds window on all 5-minute markets
Few days ago Polymarket introduced the new way of Up/Down typo markets resolution
Made on purpose to eliminate last-seconds price manipulations but there was a batch of accounts still manipulating prices despite the TWAP
Since now the duration of res. window was doubled
Unlikely for some speaky discord members who were complaining about the "killed concept"
Old-typo HFT bots need to be revamped and manual traders have to adapt
My mate shared me some stuff to learn together with his results shown in the pic below
TWAP update didn't eliminate the manipulations on crypto markets
Traders and UMA holders were quick to react
Many pointed out that this system kills 5-minute markets and should be removed from them
They also found a list of accounts that are still manipulating prices despite the TWAP system
LP farmers are complaining about the new rewards pool
Getting rewards is simply too risky
Volatile short-term markets don't let traders keep limit orders open for long
It may make sense to use the entire market period to calculate the time-weighted average price

Polymarket has officially shifted from 1-second snapshots to Chainlink TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) for market resolution
What changed?
The "last-second spike" manipulation is over
• 5-min markets now use 30s TWAP

Why IceBerg users are already ahead:
Our HFT bot doesn't just "follow" the market - it operates directly on the resolution feed

3️⃣看连阳K(几乎是追涨最好的方法)

TWAP is now live on Polymarket
Up/Down markets now use Time-Weighted Average Pricing
This makes last-minute price manipulation before expiration much harder
To celebrate the launch Polymarket is offering $1M in Liquidity Rewards
Trade crypto markets with TWAP, earn Rewards, and claim your share of the program
You'll never be "scammed" by Polymarket again
Huge revamp of crypto Up/Down markets
Starting August 7 a TWAP will be introduced for crypto markets
It will reduce the chance of price manipulation near the market close
TWAP will be calculated not over the whole market period but over the last 30-60 seconds
This system uses a time-weighted average price which takes into account how long each price lasted
So if someone tries to pump the price right before the market ends it will not affect the TWAP much
To move the TWAP they would need to keep the price high for the whole calculation period

if you trade polymarket’s crypto up/down markets, you need to know this about the new TWAP logic.
the twap rtds feed is now live, but neither polymarket nor chainlink has published its exact sampling boundaries.
while testing the feed to update my automated trading setup, i found that the 30-second twap stamped at T was aligned with an equal-weight average of 30 one-second oracle observations from T−32 through T−3—not T−29 through T as expected.
here is one example:
twap:

Developer update: Polymarket TWAP RTDS is now live.
Developers can now receive 30-second and 60-second Chainlink TWAP prices through Polymarket's public RTDS WebSocket - no Chainlink credentials required. Integration is available through the TypeScript and Python SDKs or directly over WebSocket.
TypeScript: @polymarket/client@0.3.0
Python: polymarket-client==0.3.0
Integration guide: docs.polymarket.com/market-d…
Reminder: The new TWAP-based resolution mechanism takes effect on August 7 at 12:00 AM UTC
To clarify a common question: both the opening price - the price to beat - and the final settlement price will come from the applicable TWAP feed.
Five-minute markets use the 30-second TWAP, while 15-minute and 4-hour markets use the 60-second TWAP.

After 5+ years in trading, I stick to a simple strategy that's nets me thousands every month. Hundreds of our members have done exactly this.
It might be the easiest trade you'll learn, suitable for most market conditions.
Spend a few hours this weekend learning option selling.
Not sure how? Comment “options” and I’ll send you a free ebook showing you how.

I’ve written a new Masterclass that will change the way you trade.
It includes 6 different strategies that:
- Improve your take profits
- Cut losers early
- Compound on winners
+ Several trade examples...

Smart money on @Polymarket is predicting a Democrats Sweep in the November mid terms.
If I were Trump, I'll look at this Polymarket chart and be worried.
The last time Democrats took control of just the House, they impeached him twice and blocked his agenda. This time they'll be more ruthless.

🚀 Saturday Crypto & Macro Pulse – May 16, 2026 🧵
Bitcoin holding strong around $79-80K after flirting with $80K+ this week. Bulls eyeing $100K breakout soon? MicroStrategy added another 535 BTC (smallest buy of ’26 but still stacking – total now ~819K). Solana pushing mid-$90s with eyes on $97-106 resistance. XRP steady ~$1.45, long-term calls for $5 by EOY. ETH ETFs seeing solid inflows despite price chop – institutional love is real.
Politics 🌍: Trump back from Beijing summit with Xi – trade, Taiwan & Iran in focus. Called it a “historic success” but details thin. Khamzat Chimaev obsessed with Strickland rematch after controversial loss. 2028 odds: JD Vance leading ~19%, Newsom close behind. French municipals wrapped with Socialists holding big cities.
Sports 🏀🏒⚽: NBA playoffs heating up – Pistons forcing G7, Thunder/Spurs West Finals vibes. NHL in full swing. Eurovision Grand Final tonight in Vienna (betting favorites heating up). Barca smashed Real 2-0 in El Clasico to clinch LaLiga! 🔥
Macro 📈: Fed holding rates steady (3.5-3.75%). S&P 500 up nicely weekly. Oil down, Silver ripping +6-7% this week, Nat Gas soft. Classic risk-on rotation?
Tech/AI 🤖: Frontier models neck-and-neck – Grok 4, GPT-5.4, Gemini 3.1, Claude all trading blows on benchmarks. Cerebras IPO crushed it (biggest of ’26, popped huge on debut – AI chip wars accelerating). Musk vs Altman trial wrapping up – jury deciding the drama.
Fun 🎥☣️: Box office – Devil Wears Prada 2 still dominating, Mortal Kombat II strong open. Hantavirus cruise ship cluster has prediction markets pricing low pandemic odds (smart money says contained). “Nothing Ever Happens” 2026 meme market still trading high probability on calm vibes. 😎
What’s your biggest takeaway this week?
