Musk’s Oct 2–9 post market: 91 posts in 65.2 hours, with 102.8 hours left.
I modeled this week’s posting activity using four completed weeks: 176, 204, 200, and 222 posts.
D = 91 posts in the first 65 hours.
H = finishing at 220–239.
Likelihood ratio = P(D | H) / P(D | not H) = 7.01.
In this model, the observed count is about 7× as probable if the week finishes inside that range as if it finishes outside it.
Prior odds × likelihood ratio = posterior odds: the model’s probability of H rises from 13.5% to 52.2%.
I bought 50 USDC worth.
Let’s see how it goes and whether I need to revise my assumptions.
+ 30%, as expected
you can make 33% on Polymarket if OpenAI keeps its current pricing direction
GPT-5.6 Sol is $20/M output.
GPT-6 Sol launched at $10/M.
OpenAI says efficiency gains from caching and inference let it pass lower costs on to users. The goal is advanced intelligence reaching more people at a lower price.
This market asks whether GPT-6.1+ debuts at $20+/M. I don’t see a reason for 6.1 to reverse that direction.
NO is 75¢. I bought $50 worth.

anyone here good at marketing? i think i need help.
i built stop orders for polymarket because i wanted them for my own trading. i’ve been using them, a few early users like them too, and i honestly thought more traders would be interested.
but i have no idea how to get this in front of people.
do people not know what stop orders are, not know you can use them on polymarket, or am i just terrible at explaining what i built?
genuinely curious. i thought “you don’t have to sit there waiting to place the order yourself” would be a pretty easy sell.

this sounds convincing at first glance.
but comparing only the winning return is not how you choose a trade.
“SOL will hit $100” is a market view—not yet a trade.
that view can be expressed through:
- spot: linear ownership exposure
- a leveraged perp: amplified linear exposure
- a vanilla call: nonlinear upside
- a Polymarket YES share (a digital option): binary event exposure
same view. different payoffs.
SOL is currently trading around $75, while the Polymarket YES share trades at 45¢.
with $1,000:
spot + $100 take-profit:
- buys 13.33 SOL
- profit at $100: $333
- return: +33.3%
Polymarket YES:
- buys 2,222 shares
- profit if SOL touches $100: $1,222
- return: +122.2%
- return if it never touches: −100%
the Polymarket position therefore offers 3.67× the winning return of spot.
but that is not 3.67× more edge.
to match its winning return, the relevant comparison is a 3.67× SOL perp with a $100 take-profit.
its idealized liquidation price is approximately $54.55 before maintenance margin, funding, and fees.
now compare the same market view across different paths.
case 1) SOL touches $100 before liquidation
- spot: +33.3%
- 3.67× perp: +122.2%
- Polymarket: +122.2%
case 2) SOL finishes at $90 without ever touching $100
- spot: +20.0%
- 3.67× perp: +73.3%
- Polymarket: −100%
case 3) SOL falls below $54.55, then rebounds to $100
- spot: +33.3%
- 3.67× perp: liquidated
- Polymarket: +122.2%
this is the actual trade-off:
- spot retains the asset
- leverage magnifies the entire price path
- Polymarket removes liquidation risk but replaces it with binary expiry risk
before placing a trade, know exactly what you are trading and what risk comes with it.
look at the three cases above: which one matches your market view, and which risk are you willing to take?
i bootstrapped 100 SOL price paths and ran the perp and Polymarket positions through the exact same paths. here’s how differently they ended.
If you buy $1,000 worth of $SOL and it hits $100 by EOY you will earn ~$245
If you buy the same worth of YES shares on Polymarket you will make ~$1,400
that's roughly 6.5x higher return
Nothing but edge
