All over the country, kids just watched the Roadster fly and decided their own crazy ideas might be possible too. Thanks, @elonmusk.

I now understand why it is important to move to Silicon Valley. It gives you the ambition to take you where talent and hard work alone cannot.

A huge thank you to our SysConf 2026 team! Making an event successful is a difficult feat, but doing it to the level of excellence of this year's conference shows this team's commitment. There were many roles, from event logistics to moderating to peer reviewing and more! And many people took on several roles! SysConf 2026 was an incredible team effort. Thank you for your time, dedication and care that brought this vision to life! #SysConf #SysConf26

Be Aggressive about your life. It is the only way to get what you want from it... Nothing comes from the gentle hoping, half-given effort, or the daydreaming of most. You have to know who you are... What you want, pursue & reject Be Aggressive about your life.

We're excited to announce Emmanuel Idoko (@pidoxy_) as a speaker at SysConf 2026! His talk is titled "From Senses to Systems: What Biological Perception Teaches Us About Multimodal AI." Humans and animals learn about the world through several senses at once (vision, touch, hearing), all observing the same physical reality. This property allows each one to act as supervision for the others, with no explicit labels needed. This talk looks at how that principle has made its way into multimodal AI, where models learn by predicting one type of data from another. Emmanuel will cover architectures like multimodal masked auto-encoders, how models behave when an input is missing, and the trade-off between scaling data diversity and scaling the number of modalities. He also will show how he has applied these ideas to his research work. #SysConf #SysConf26
