I participated in a highly insightful and dynamic panel discussion on the present and future of mining in Africa alongside colleague ministers from Nigeria, Tanzania, Somalia and South Sudan at the ongoing Kenya Mining Investment Conference and Expo (MICE) 2026. My sincere appreciation to Hon. Losuba Ludoru Wongo, Minister of Mining of the Republic of South Sudan, @engadu the Secretary-General @africaminerals_, for their valuable engagement and valuable contribution. Our discussions delved into critical priorities shaping the sector including mineral beneficiation, strengthening local value addition, advancing progressive mining reforms and enhancing legal and regulatory frameworks. We also had a meaningful exchange with delegates, addressing key questions and perspectives from across the industry. Together, we reaffirmed the vital role of regional collaboration in unlocking Africa’s vast mineral wealth, promoting sustainable resource management and ensuring that our resources deliver lasting value for our people and economies. @AMSGDialogues @national_mining @KenChamberMines #MICE2026
