Congratulations Doc. And a fine piece of work it is too - a genuine insight into securing systemic and sustainable school improvement.

THREAD: Behaviour – Just putting together some thoughts for our trainees and new teachers. I’ve tried to think about the most common mistakes I still see when it comes to managing behaviour. I've found doing this really useful for me as well.

@Mart33984417Liz What do you think of this?
We end the interview by asking if candidates would like to be called or emailed when we’ve made our decision. We always offer a follow up phone call with feedback either way. We also give generic feedback like this to applicants who weren’t shortlisted:

I wonder how many of us accept that different approaches to ensuring appropriate behaviour can be equally successful? And I mean successful in all areas, including putting the well-being of pupils / students at the top of the priority list.

I’ve only read the abstract, conclusion and discussion but it seems like this might help us start to think about how to get both the koshi role and the sharing of findings phase better than we have them in our current version of LS. What do you all think?
I’ve found it difficult to find succinct summaries of what formative assessment is and why we should do it but this does those jobs wonderfully. REALLY good. Thanks 🙏

I completely agree Colin. The tweet was a poor attempt at a joke which pokes fun at those people who just mention the word ‘research’, to support their argument, without actually knowing of any research.
All the research shows that people who say ‘All the research shows...’ are wise, well-read and ALWAYS right.
ALERT!! ALERT!! Please be aware that this thread contains some balanced, realistic views.
