THREAD: Behaviour – Just putting together some thoughts for our trainees and new teachers. I’ve tried to think about the most common mistakes I still see when it comes to managing behaviour. I've found doing this really useful for me as well.

I wonder how many of us accept that different approaches to ensuring appropriate behaviour can be equally successful? And I mean successful in all areas, including putting the well-being of pupils / students at the top of the priority list.
This is excellent

Hi @mrsbrewtandcake. Would you mind following me so I can DM you?
I feel proud to work at Meadowdale for many, many reasons, but right at the top of the list at the minute is the exceptional job that staff and pupils are doing in Art. And it hasn’t stopped for one second during COVID. Amazing.
We are very proud of our art curriculum. All of our children learn how to draw and explore various media during their time with us. We are excited to share our virtual art exhibition video showing the fabulous art that our children have produced this year. meadowdale.info/art2021

All the research shows that people who say ‘All the research shows...’ are wise, well-read and ALWAYS right.

This book is brilliant. I’m only 35 pages in and I’ve already learned how judgement can be hugely skewed by emotion and how polarisation can develop in different expert camps, both sides of which feel fully vindicated by the evidence. A useful read for edutwitter maybe?

Excellent, instructional blog from @atharby on how to write good MCQs. Really useful for effective formative assessment both in the classroom and for remote learning. researchschool.org.uk/durrin…

Had a go at creating a visual diagram of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’. Of course, it’s 100% inspired by the man himself, @olicav. Working on an animated version too. #VisualClarity
