I've been paying the USD price for netflix since moving back to Canada in 2020. @Muse caught it saying it was odd to be paying $40/month for a netflix account and not normal to have FX fees 😅
Worth highlighting we @turbopuffer are looking for a controller! Right hand to our cfo.

I take back what I said about needing a personal AI. I can technically do all the same things with hermes + telegram + Mac mini but @Muse has just made it all so much easier. Turns out not thinking about which of the 36 models to use and having it all in a single chat interface is nice.

Meta will continue to be successful because they understand that a winning consumer AI strategy is “hey you can use AI to negotiate a good deal on a Peloton through Marketplace and btw we made a silly little AI character with a fluffy butt that you can look at on your new Meta Tamagotchi”
not “run our open weight model 6.7.1 on this new Chinese orchestration architecture oh and btw it might take your job and kill you good luck”
Everyone keeps building AI agents to make phone calls for you and the companies hang up. Who is making the AI agent to answer these calls? AI phoning AI 🤝

i spent a lot of time considering the perfect time to share that in 10 days i'm joining @turbopuffer 🐡💨
i did not have 'being-outshone-by-a-grazing-cow' on my bingo card for possible considerations when sharing this news 🐄
not even mad tho

your product is only as smart as the data it can reach.
make your product smart. unleash your cow.
My life must be really boring because I don't understand the hype for all the new personal AI assistants.
I don't buy things that often, travel is a few times a year, bills autopay, personal email is 5 mins, book the dentist during previous appointment....🤷
Born in 7533 BCE and still living to 51. I got a rare combo

September is the best month of the year in Canada. Ideal daytime temps, no humidity, no bugs, days still long, trees just starting to turn.
One of the busiest months of the year for recruiting is a bonus.

None of this happens without the two things I’m most proud of: (1) assembling the most hardcore & whimsical 34pp team I’ve been part of, and (2) our customers, who we strive to show up for on Slack as if we’re part of their team
turbopuffer is here to search every byte on earth.
here we go! Very excited to be part of the team.
one of my favorite things about onboarding is working with the team to come up with a bio for the newcomers :) @_sebgl @mashbourne

myid.ca a timeliness design 😅. Probably not updated since they started in 2000
Sums up the AI slop spread across the entire internet. Not sure there is anything to combat it right now but someone eventually will build a corner of the Internet that filters/blocks and verifies it is original human content. youtube.com/watch?v=_zfN9wnP…
