i spent a lot of time considering the perfect time to share that in 10 days i'm joining @turbopuffer 🐡💨
i did not have 'being-outshone-by-a-grazing-cow' on my bingo card for possible considerations when sharing this news 🐄
not even mad tho
i love ai, because now every break at a pro sports game is full of absurd “bowling alley-esque” animations
tonight was one of those nights that i think we’ll look back on at @turbopuffer, and remember every detail.
how you do one, thing is how you do everything.
i voted today!
2 more days of advanced polls in case you aren't around on the 26th (like me)
do it. don't be a weenie.
this scratched something in my brain. thank you 😭
the interactions are so fun
you can bump the pieces into each other
you can pull a piece into the centre and it sproings out
you can throw them around and they glide and boing so wonderfully!!!
I cannot offer an actual bite, but you CAN tear one apart on my 404 page 🍬 meliketurgut.com/404
i was really brave and just demo’ed a v1 of something we’ve been working on during the weekly @turbopuffer team all hands!
i cannot stress enough the importance of joining a team where their cultural norms + rituals = how you want to grow
big big fan of:
- building in the open
- pushing the frontier
- making things super performant and super fast
- versions
🐡 💨
we're changing tpuf's storage architecture so we can keep pushing the search frontier
the new engine (v3) now passes CI, but we have to make it fast before we ship it to prod
we're grinding query plans in public until v3 wins on everything
follow along: turbopuffer.com/v3
come puff with us 🐡 (!!!!)
