I am increasingly convinced that NYC’s rats have evolved the ability to hire lobbyists to advocate on their behalf.
It would explain so much.

I think the fundamental disconnect here is that you wants politics to solve man's search for meaning and I want politics to deliver a prosperous, safe, free society in which everyone can go find meaning in something other than politics.

Holding opinions that don’t belong to your political party is fucking ok and does not make you an a RINO/DINO.
Disgusting. Soldiers display better restraint and awareness in god damn Fallujah than ICE does in our own cities against our own people.
Peep the parents at the end running away with their baby in the car seat. And you’re gonna tell me ICE is making cities safer????

A few months ago, a paper came out challenging the idea that supply and demand applies to housing. As you'd expect, this was celebrated in NIMBY circles.
I have written a short technical comment showing that the paper is seriously flawed.

People wonder why Trump won. Local blue govts are the reason. When people see idiot dem mayors and governors do things like this, what motivation do they have to turn out for a democratic president?
Dems need to fix their local shit before they can complain about people voting for Trump
This is one of those stories that could only happen in California:
1. Mayor of Los Angeles issues an executive directive making it fast & easy to build 100% affordable housing.
2. She doesn’t include any new public money in the order, so it’s supposed to just be a fake messaging thing.
3. But there normal process to build housing in CA is so terrible, new policies that make it easy to build can be profitable (even for affordable housing).
4. So private developers start building a ton of new housing using this streamlined process.
5. Faced with a surprising pro-housing supply policy success, the mayor immediately started amending the directive to be more burdensome and revert to the status quo.
The end 🫠

Men out there, this is the secret to winning in relationships. It's very easy, just requires a bit of leadership and execution.
As a bonus, because so many men fail at the simple task of leading, you instantly put yourself towards the top if you are capable of doing it.
FYI work can be split in many ways, depending on the relationship. But as a man, take it upon yourself to figure out the balance. Lean on doing more than less. Make your wife's life easier and you will have a very, very good relationship.
If this upsets you, then you think too weakly of yourself. What great man whines about a little bit of work?

For my entire life, I've heard politicians talk about bringing manufacturing jobs back to America.
It is FINALLY happening.
"We're not going back!" has been @KamalaHarris's rallying cry. But those jobs & industries of the future now hang in the balance this #election.
