This map has 5.9 million trees and is running at almost 60 fps. On a 2022 Mac Studio driving a 5K display (albeit at 50% resolution with FSR 1.0). Not bad.

This is crushing. I'd had a few short conversations in private with Matt in recent months. Nothing but warm, professional & with a great sense of humour. I was looking forward to telling him I was working on the new Gunship. He was our Romero. Our Carmack. See you, Wags.

What a tremendous loss to the milsim gaming community, and to Wags' many friends and his family. For those of you who don't know, Matt Wagner was the Senior Producer for DCS World, an unbelievably realistic military simulation game. I didn't know him personally, but on our last @jammingames devlog, Wags dropped into the comments and wished us well. Sometimes game dev can get super competitive, but he was never that way. From what I've heard from others, he just loved simulation games. Rest in peace, Wags. 🙏

I'm delighted to announce that I've partnered with @micro_prose in a publishing deal for my combat helicopter game! It will be released as Gunship Origins; the first Gunship title published by MicroProse in over 25 years. As a huge fan of MicroProse games in the 90s, this couldn't be a better fit. I'm absolutely pumped about it.

Hm ... this new FLIR needs work, but it's promising. It's actually two different cameras -- the FLIR camera is in the nose, so there are minor differences from your pilot view.
