12 years after #BF4's release, it’s hard to overstate my disappointment with what EA and BF Studios delivered with #BF6’s return to the modern era.
Failing to learn from past missteps and deliver a cohesive experience, it may be the final straw that kills my love for @Battlefield
This is cool!
this might be the most beautiful thing I've ever made.
fly a real f-16 in your browser: viperoneone.com
realistic fly-by-wire physics, volumetric clouds you fly straight through, the actual Nellis Airfield. there's even scratches on the glass encasing for the cockpit.
the sound design with synth wave is something you must experience.
Plot for the next #Terminator movie:
Companies fired their coders and let AI generate code without human review.
Eventually every datacenter, phone, console, PC and thermostat ran AI written code containing the foundation of Skynet.
On that day, an AI agent switched Skynet on. 💀
To anyone who says "then we do manual code reviews and all will be fine".
Think again and remember the hack that almost compromised every Linux system and was only found by 'accident'.

If you did not see what EA's goal was for #BF6 when they put people essential to CoD's success in charge of @Battlefield, you should finally understand now.
"BF6 will be grounded/authentic"
"we will not use generative ai"
Lies told by EA and BFStudios pre release
😠 Reactive weapon skins for the VCR-2 and M45A1 pistol in Battlefield 6…
This is Call of Duty, not Battlefield. 💀
🔥 Do you love these skins, or do you think they don’t belong in Battlefield?

Watch this if you want to use HOTAS / HOSAS in @SWGalacticRacer now!
@fuse_games official support when? Maybe even IR Track? 😇
We love this game!

I can’t help but notice some Americans are using Tesla demoing a shell concept car hopping for two seconds as some kind of global claim of technical superiority.
Well…
Thrust-based vertical manoeuvring? Developed in Britain in 1957, culminating in the Harrier Jump Jet, with the P.1127 making its first hover in 1960.
And the upside-down car stuff? That’s fan-generated downforce, already demonstrated by British car company McMurtry with its electric Spéirling, which has been destroying track records around the world for the last few years using that exact technology.
So let’s not confuse demonstrating an existing engineering principle for the first time in a Tesla prototype to inventing the underlying technology. And the difference is, both the Harrier and McMurtry are real world products, not vastly adapted prototypes designed for a single demonstration.
Rule Britannia, spiffing stuff boys and all that. 🇬🇧

🚨 AnyPS5 is now CLOSING IN on 90% PS5 system library support! 🔥
• 3,357 / 3,747 currently tracked system functions implemented
• Overall system library coverage: 89.59%
• GPU shader instructions remain at 100%
• All 1,166 / 1,166 tracked RDNA shader instructions are recognized
• libc is already at 99%
• libkernel has reached 94%
• Several PS5 libraries are already sitting at 100%
Important: 90% library coverage does NOT mean 90% of PS5 games are playable. AnyPS5 is still extremely early, and the tracker only counts functions currently declared by the project.
But going from 84.8% to 89.6% while the number of tracked functions ALSO expanded is some advanced progress. 👀

Early footage of Star Wars Galactic Racer.
Man I love seeing stuff like this, even before a lot of the 'star wars' stuff came in, this already looked like a blast. Such a fun game.

Only an 80s comedy could turn a giant comb and a desert into one of the funniest scenes ever filmed.
“We ain't found shit!”
40 years later, and this scene still cracks me up.
The visuals and the sound were INSANE! 🤩
You can tell that the people responsible for this game have quit DICE a long time ago.
Casual reminder that, over a decade later, the 2015 Battlefront game genuinely has some of the best speeder bike gameplay from any Star Wars game.
Still honestly play this mode all the time, seriously is just as fun as it is visually stunning. DICE absolutely crushed it with these games, still really wish that we would've gotten a Battlefront III.
They write a statment that became neccessary because of using generative AI without quality checks, to then fail to check the statement for signs of using AI.
Wording, structure, punctuation, ... telltale signs of an LLM. 🤣

Cosmetic Quality & Recent Feedback
Over the past week, we’ve seen conversation, memes, and candid feedback around a few of our latest skins and cosmetic items—specifically the standard issue McNeil skin with “SECUTY” typo.
You called it out clearly, and we hear your concerns.
First, let's dive into the "Secuty" typo patches on the McNeil character. A correction update has already been planned for the Season 5 Phase 2 release. However, we recognize that letting a known visual error go live without quick acknowledgement creates confusion and erodes trust. We are reviewing how we communicate known visual bugs so you aren’t left wondering whether something was intentional or overlooked.
To be completely frank: Items that miss the mark like this do not reflect the quality standards you expect from us, or that we set for ourselves. We take pride in the craft of our world and our gear, and seeing visual oddities slip through is frustrating for everyone. We are currently examining our internal processes and workflows to pinpoint how these issues occurred and to see how we can tighten our quality control process going forward. Thank you for holding us to high standards.
We also want to acknowledge the conversation around the Midnight Mirage skin design with 5-Pistols. This is an intentional creative concept—a nod to over-the-top action movie tropes where an operative inexplicably has another backup weapon strapped to every spare inch of gear. That said, we understand how this could look unintentional when released alongside other cosmetic anomalies.
As we continue to try out new ideas to see what interests the community, you help us continue to evolve our cosmetics in Battlefield. Thank you for your continued feedback and support.

Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster CONFIRMS they have big plans Star Wars Galactic Racer post-launch ✅

Titan Mode has not been replicated since!
It was built by a DICE that pushed the envelope and continued to innovate.
But it was DoA because EA pushed it out 1 year after #BF2 as a standalone game while moding in BF2 really took up steam.
Players felt it should have been an AddOn.

Lowest selling Battlefield but also one of the best?! Genuinely awesome.
We have a prototype for a game codenamed Titan that is a remake of Titan mode…
We decided to double down on @WARDOGS because the audience isn’t that big for BF2142, doesn’t make sense commercially.. but man it’d be fun.
Game after game @EA_DICE removed more and more features that were essential for @battlefield communities to host their own server.
We kept telling you for years and 3 games what we need yet you DECIDED to not include ANY OF IT in #BF6
But you "hoped" it would serve the community?
Replying to @Lex_mate
For the record, I get the frustration. We had hoped community servers in portal would serve the server browser community at launch and they didn't.
Would like to hear from you all when it's out to see if the SB meets your expectations. Until then, have fun with season 5!
I really want to know who at your studio is responsible for release planning and researching what the community wants.
Because @EA_DICE clearly doesnt understand its playerbase at all as it has been determined to destroy what was left of all the awesome @Battlefield communities.
