have a kioti side by side bike that had an accident with a tree. parts had to come from melbourne, less than a week and she was all back together. meanwhile, one of the big three dealerships header needed parts, took 3 weeks to get parts from melbourne and fitted ! ๐Ÿ˜

Local tractor dealer bringing in gps at almost half the price of Trimble for same result, think it will be like the Chinese cars, quality improving and you canโ€™t ignore the reduced price, Chinese small square balers arriving without the MF badge at 75% of the cost.

It's funny people going on about Chinese manufacturers copying designs like all the N A manufacturers haven't been doing that to smaller companies for decades

Give it a few years to debug and refine, and bingo
Chinese LOVOL GS8239: ๐ŸŒพ โ€ข Engine: 500 HP Weichai Diesel โ€ข Feed Rate: 23 kg/s (Class 8/9 Territory) โ€ข Capacity: ~1,600 bu/hr (Wheat) โ€ข Header: 9m (30 ft) โ€ข System: Axial-Flow Rotary โ€ข Est. Cost: ~$200Kโ€“$250K USD (FOB) Imagine getting a brand new combine with 2 headers for under $500k. Western Agriculture spent too much time trying to fleece the farmer instead of trying to innovate the farmer.

The secret #ipaddockalphadisc sauce is really pretty simple
More people should know this.

Hows this for classic "built in obsolescence": Gerni changed their threaded hose attachment thread from M22 to M21, hoping we would throw this unit in the tip rather than just replace the hose. Ratchet strap saves the day! #aghack So it's not just big ag doing this crap!

Tell me if you've experienced this: crop fills the middle of the header while both ends are empty. The @ipaddockapps Typhoon's paddle flighting spreads it evenly instead, so you're not babysitting header speed all day. Click the link in the bio.

Anyone know the answer to this one?

Good luck for the rest of harvest Mic! Random question, are the two rubber strips on the strap as effective as small tyre in the event of a strap failure?

Great insight into the role of advocacy in agriculture. Membership really is cheap when its all considered. #havealisten #joinup

GPA welcomes SAโ€™s delay of at least 18 months to the lower phosphine workplace exposure limit, covering at least the next two grain harvests. Phosphine is critical for protecting stored grain against pests. MORE-> grainproducers.com.au/post/gโ€ฆ

This is the ON WAFarmers episode everyone has been waiting for - @mdfowler100 on Paraquat, phosphine, ISCC, and a long list of other critical wins and ongoing battles facing our sector. Mark also really points out why it is so important that people join an advocacy group. Let us know what you think, and share it with someone who you think needs to hear it! This is such hogwash. If soils were depleted of nutrients, yields would be falling. They aren't. I am not sure where this commonly-held idea comes from but my guess is that it's from regenerative ag's pop ecology notion that soils should be able to supply all the nutrients crops need without fertilizer inputs. No wonder the public thinks badly of ag; they are fed these lies from sources that should be trustworthy but aren't.

When a car owners manual used to describe how to change oil, filters & adjust tappets โ€ฆโ€ฆ now they have 20 pages of donโ€™t drink battery or radiator contents โ€ฆโ€ฆ. Iโ€™d say a big yes - to answer your question.

With all the obnoxious and intrusive alarms, bells, warnings and lights on this thing, the mind boggles that the one thing they removed was the red light for low fuel. Has the global IQ really dropped that far?
