Raelene Hall - A legitimate bush woman omny.fm/shows/central-statio… A podcast I did recently.

Raelene Hall - A legitimate bush woman - Central Station - True...

A governess meets a handsome jackeroo, they fall in love and move onto the family station. It sounds like a fairytale, or perhaps a Mills & Boon novel, but for Raelene Hall, it wasn’t quite that...

what is the one thing this weekends games have highlighted: the absolute futility of the wildcard round ! They dont issue participation awards for finishing 9th or 10th.

31st of july ; canola can only be described as " in agony" trying to push up flowers. 😔 wheat that germinated on the 8th of june, can be described as still having "potential"🤞😊

outstanding account of the destruction of a japanese convoy that would have given them a launching pad for the invasion of Australia. a big thankyou to Australian and American aviators !💪

couple of questions for @agtwitter . ABC Landline had a story on the wonders of ground up glass as a fertilizer. fact or snake oil ? also prior to the show they were doing a promo for 4 corners on monday. looks like another hatchet job on chemicals used in agriculture !😠

thanks for all the comments on Maxisil. In my mind, the jury is still out on whether it is worthwhile, but looking forward to comments from those that are trialing it this year when results are in.

was reading the farm weekly, and was enjoying the story of @Tedthekelpie and his family. Already knew a bit about the branch of the West family that moved to Dumbleyung. Had a giggle at Sams House with the pic of what I jokingly call his machine gun turret on top !

A nasty rainfall record is about to be smashed for the month of july in Kukerin. lowest ever recorded since 1912 is 13.6mm. our wettest month, has only had 6mm so far, with very little forecast for the next 10 days 😬

#asktwitter just got slugged $95,000 for 60 tonnes of urea from CSBP ! with minimal rain forecast and most crop only germinating on the 8th of june, yield potential is not high. maybe wait and see how much rain we get in july before buying any more or just shut the gate ?

very few jobs irk me more than this; reseeding failed canola germination !😠 unlikely to be a profitable crop this late, but nature hates bare dirt.

$380/t on offer for APW wheat this harvest ($390/t yesterday), things are improving , but just $25 discount for ASW hardly inspires anyone to chase protein when it costs $144/ha to put on 100kg/ha of urea !! 😠
