Chinese LOVOL GS8239: 🌾 • Engine: 500 HP Weichai Diesel • Feed Rate: 23 kg/s (Class 8/9 Territory) • Capacity: ~1,600 bu/hr (Wheat) • Header: 9m (30 ft) • System: Axial-Flow Rotary • Est. Cost: ~$200K–$250K USD (FOB) Imagine getting a brand new combine with 2 headers for under $500k. Western Agriculture spent too much time trying to fleece the farmer instead of trying to innovate the farmer.

Is more recycling always better? A Japanese study estimated the socially optimal rate—including environmental benefits—at 10%. Recycle more and you pour ever greater resources into ever smaller gains, leaving society worse off. My WSJ op-ed: wsj.com/opinion/most-recycli… archive.ph/ybc91

“It was the test for society, but it’s also a test for politicians… If you are willing to say publicly that you would push this lie, that a man can be a woman, okay, then why do I have to believe what you are going to say for any solution on the economy, on immigration, on cost of living? Because you have just shown to me that you will lie about the most obvious thing.” Full interview 👇

Jim Chalmers has been caught out by his own tax office. They’ve made a pretty revealing admission: absorbing the cost of accepting credit cards is “not tenable”. In other words, the cost doesn’t magically disappear when you ban the surcharge. The ATO collects $700 billion in tax every year, yet even it won’t absorb the cost. But Labor expects the local café, tradie and family business to wear it. The surcharge might disappear from the receipt but the cost doesn’t. Small businesses should still be able to pay their tax by credit card to manage their cash flow. The Prime Minister should have reversed this decision yesterday.

So many options for mixed farms here
🐑 Dual-purpose crops can increase profit by $100 to $300 per farm hectare when managed well. In the latest GRDC video, @deltaagribus agronomists Tim Condon and Ben Lenehan join growers Max O’Connor, Brad Kavanagh and Ben Lane to share practical lessons on making dual-purpose systems work. The video complements GRDC’s 20 Tips for dual-purpose crops publication, compiled by @CSIRO. 🎥 Watch the video: bit.ly/4xHF7ws 🔗 Read 20 Tips for dual-purpose crops: bit.ly/46xpAFB #GRDCVideo #DualPurposeCrops #MixedFarming

An average worker on $108,650 now borrows $47,000 less than at the start of the year. A couple on two average wages, $95,000 less. Rates are one lever. Supply is the other. Governments control supply. They keep blocking new homes.
