I'll give an overview of the many components needed to capture, process, and assemble a 925 000 px × 775 000 px (5 µm res.) photo of Rembrandt's Night Watch at the @rijksmuseum. Afterward I'll be available to answer questions on the live Q&A Zoom session.

Fully automated 1250 dpi imaging of Rembrandt's Night Watch in the @Rijksmuseum. I can capture the whole painting (53 gigapixels!) in under 90 minutes with staggering detail.

This is heart-warming. "The Night Watch" is being analyzed currently to determine whether restoration is needed and to what extent. You can see #Python on the scientist's laptop.

5. AsyncIO is great. It's been a joy to hook into #Jupyter's async event loop so that I can send/receive messages to the robot, capture sensor data into a growing DataFrame, and run motion control programs in the background while having a free #IPython prompt for live analysis.
