NIGERIANS, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🇳🇬
INEC has restricted the amount of time each person can spend on its website, so we need as many people as possible to help with this exercise.
Here’s what we’re doing:
We’re counting the number of registered voters in each polling unit for 2027 and comparing it with the number of registered voters in that same polling unit in 2023.
INEC won’t show us the full register, so we have to do this ourselves, one polling unit at a time.
Here’s how you can help. It takes just 60 seconds!
STEP 1: Go to this link ⤵️
check.nigeriaelects.com
STEP 2: Copy the code generated where it says “Your Polling Unit”. It’s the code containing numbers and dashes.
STEP 3: Go to the INEC website and scroll down to “Find a Polling Unit”.
Paste the code you copied into the PU Code box and click “Find”.
STEP 4: The polling unit information will appear, including the number of registered voters.
Copy ONLY the number of registered voters (the whole number, without the dashes).
STEP 5: Return to the first website, paste the number into the space provided for registered voters and click Submit.
That’s all!
See the attached video for a visual guide.
60 seconds of your time can help us build a clearer picture of what’s happening with our voters’ register.
Please participate and share this with other Nigerians. The more people who help, the more polling units we can cover.
Let’s get to work! 🇳🇬

INIBEHE EFFIONG CONDEMNS FORCED ATTENDANCE AT TINUBU’S CAMPAIGN EVENT IN AKWA IBOM
CALLS ANNOUNCEMENT OF SEAPORT APPROVAL FRAUDULENT
I am impelled to cut short my break from active engagement on social media to address the pathetic political deceit that President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno have undertaken in Akwa Ibom State.
On Friday, November 6, 2026, the APC presidential candidate announced that he has given approval for the establishment of a so-called “Ibom Deep-Seaport” in Akwa Ibom State.
Nigerians should be reminded that the so-called Deep-Seaport is nothing but a repeatedly parroted fraudulent project, and a money laundering scheme that successive administrations in Akwa Ibom have used to deceive and hoodwink Akwa Ibomites.
During the currency of their respective terms as governor, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, his successor Mr. Udom Emmanuel and the incumbent, Mr. Umo Eno, have all lied shamelessly about this fictitious project.
They have all appropriated and wasted the resources of the State in the name of a non-existent seaport.
During Akpabio’s tenure as governor, the then President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, approved the establishment of a seaport.
Under Udom Emmanuel, President Buhari gave approval for the establishment of the same seaport.
Today, Tinubu has taken his turn to give yet another approval for a fake seaport that no one has seen.
Akwa Ibom people are tired of this deceit and political lunacy.
Politicians should not assume that they can perpetually engage in this level of dishonesty without rebuke.
We have had enough of this seaport approval nonsense in Akwa Ibom.
Finally, I totally condemn the irresponsible and unconstitutional actions taken by the governor of Akwa Ibom State in the name of welcoming Mr. Tinubu.
The governor has no business shutting down the State for what is apparently a partisan political event.
It is shameful that a man who parades himself as a pastor would misrepresent a partisan political event as an official State function.
Tinubu’s visitation was specifically for his reelection campaign.
Will the governor also declare a work free day and direct civil servants to attend the campaign events and rallies of presidential candidates of other political parties?
A vehicle conveying women to the airport to welcome the APC presidential candidate was involved in an accident, reportedly resulting in loss of life.
Akwa Ibom people are not slaves, and we will never allow the deceit and arrogance of failed politicians to go unchallenged.
President Tinubu’s disastrous policies and oppressive regime have brought tears, sorrow and blood to Nigeria.
Akwa Ibom is not insulated from Tinubu’s misrule.

Nigeria ended 2025 owing China $5.67 billion. Out of the country's $6.68 billion bilateral debt, China alone holds about 85%. But we're supposed to be popping champagne because we're borrowing more? Interesting times indeed.

Dear Friends,
My name is Adetutu Balogun, I am the convener of #AdoptAFamilyAtXmas. I’m writing to ask for your support.
This program started six years ago, to support families in need during Christmas holidays.
For most people, the Christmas season means time with family and friends, enjoying a festive meal together.
However, for some people, the Christmas holiday is not a joyful experience. Many pensioners, Widows/Widowers, Single Parents etc just do not have the financial resources to meet day-to-day needs, so a festive meal is beyond their imagination.
With your help #AdoptAFamilyXmas, #AFAX2025 can change that.
I am seeking N20k per family. Your FULL donation goes to the families you adopted.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Yours Sincerely,
Adetutu Balogun

Since I woke up this morning, I've taken my time to go through the comments, quotes, and advice people have shared. Trust me, I'm going to take every single piece of advice seriously. However, there's one advice I will not take, and that's people telling me to stay away from politics and focus solely on my business.
I think I responded to someone's comment suggesting that we should vote for Peter Obi, and I noticed that quite a number of people dragged me for it. But honestly, why should I be told not to talk about politics and just concentrate on my business? Who do you think put me in the situation I'm currently in? Is it not the government? I shouldn't talk about politics, but politics is talking about me. Do you understand how badly government policies have affected my business and my livelihood?
I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who came through for me, but the truth is, I'm still going to bear losses. And who created the economic conditions that contributed to those losses? The government.
Let me also address those who believe I made a financial mistake by opening the shop in the first place. Yes, perhaps there were things I could have done differently, but let me give you some context. My shop is strategically located between two major universities in Port Harcourt: the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Ignatius Ajuru University. These institutions have thousands of students. Do you honestly think these students don't want cookies? Why do you think I chose that location in the first place? The idea was simple: students from both universities would make up a significant part of my customer base.
Interestingly, since this whole support campaign started, a good number of the people who have shown up to support me are students from these same universities. They have always been my target audience. But the problem is that the economy has destroyed their purchasing power. These students, who ordinarily would patronise my business, are now more concerned about paying school fees, feeding themselves, and meeting their basic needs.
And somehow, I'm being told not to talk about politics?
You're telling me to focus on my business, post my products, and leave politics alone. But why can't I do both? Why can't I promote my business and also speak about the political leadership and candidate I believe can bring about the change we desperately need? Why shouldn't I advocate for someone I believe can help change the circumstances that have made running a small business this difficult?
I was fortunate that my situation gained attention and people rallied around me. But what happens the next time? Will I have to depend on a viral post before I can make meaningful sales? Is that how a business should survive? Absolutely not.
I appreciate every single person who has supported me, advised me, encouraged me, and shown me love. I will take the business advice, learn from my mistakes, and make better decisions going forward.
But please, don't tell me to stop talking about politics. The economy is affecting my business. Government policies are affecting my customers. The political decisions being made in this country have direct consequences on my livelihood.
I cannot separate my business struggles from the politics and economic realities that contribute to them. I have every right to speak about both.
PLEASE VOTE PETER OBI!!! ✌️

I thought you inherited a lot of real estate from your parents Sir
When I first arrived in the United States as a young man, I drove a taxi to earn money for my education. I even had to postpone starting school for several months to save enough.
When I eventually got to Chicago, I worked different jobs to support myself and pay my way through university. I know what it means to worry about tuition, accommodation and how to make ends meet while pursuing an education.
Those experiences have stayed with me.
I know what education made possible in my own life, and I believe every Nigerian child deserves that same opportunity, regardless of where they are born or what their parents can afford.
This is one reason education remains a major priority of our Renewed Hope administration.
Through NELFUND, we have provided over ₦372 billion in student loans for institutional fees and upkeep, helping young Nigerians remain in school and pursue their education.
Our technical and vocational education programme has attracted over 2.8 million applications. We have rehabilitated 38 technical colleges, while students in federal and selected state technical colleges now benefit from free school fees, boarding, textbooks and uniforms.
We have reached a new agreement with ASUU, providing for a 40% increase in academic staff remuneration and measures to improve stability in our universities.
A four-year course must take four years. Our young people deserve to complete their education on time and get on with their lives. Promise made, Promise Kept
In medical education, we are investing ₦110 billion in rehabilitating 24 medical schools. Annual nursing enrolment has increased from 28,000 to 115,000, while medical and dental enrolment has risen from 5,000 to 12,000.
Nigeria needs more doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and we must build the capacity to train them here at home.
Over one million children who were previously out of school have been returned to learning. We are investing in teacher development, expanding educational opportunities for girls, and implementing a new national curriculum that restores Nigerian History to our classrooms.
Our children must know where we have come from, understand the country they belong to, and be prepared to take responsibility for its future.
I commend the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa @DrTunjiAlausa, the Minister of State, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad @Suwaiba_Said, and the entire education team @NigEducation for their dedication to this important work.
I am particularly pleased that the team has developed an interactive A–Z of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), bringing together the reforms, programmes, achievements and opportunities across our education system.
I invite every Nigerian to visit edu4pbat.ng and explore the A–Z of NESRI.
If you are a parent, find out what opportunities are available for your children. If you are a student, explore the programmes you can benefit from. If you are a teacher, see what support is available.
And if something is not working as it should in your community, I want to hear about it. Your feedback will help us identify problems and address them.
Our journey from reform to opportunities and shared prosperity must begin with education.
The circumstances of a child’s birth should never determine the limits of their ambition. Our responsibility is to give every Nigerian child a fair chance to fulfil their potential.
We have more work to do, and I am determined to see it through.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President

A Christian mother, Liyatu Samuel Dawa, from Gwoza in Nigeria's northeastern Borno State, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison following a case involving a Muslim woman who converted to Christianity.
The converted woman testified in court that she had embraced Christianity voluntarily and had not been pressured or forced by anyone.
Despite her testimony, Borno State High Court Judge A. B. Kumdila imposed concurrent prison sentences carrying a maximum term of 14 years, without the option of paying a fine.
Dawa maintained that she had merely offered the woman advice, telling the court: "I only gave her advice. That's all."
Her husband, evangelical Christian Amos Suleman, spent several months in prison before being released on bail. He says he is now living in hiding after receiving death threats from Islamist extremists.

Dear Friends,
My name is Adetutu Balogun, and I am the convener of #AdoptAFamilyAtXmas.
I am writing to ask for your support.
This initiative started six years ago with a simple mission: to support families in need during the Christmas season.
For many people, Christmas is a time to gather with family and friends, share laughter, and enjoy a festive meal together. Unfortunately, this is not the reality for everyone. Many pensioners, widows, widowers, single parents, and vulnerable families struggle to meet their daily needs, making the prospect of a Christmas celebration seem far beyond their reach.
With your support, #AdoptAFamilyAtXmas (#AFAX2026) can help change that.
We are seeking donations of ₦20,000 per family. Every naira you donate goes directly to the family adopted.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Yours sincerely,
