@faisalroble19 accurately warned: "There is a growing ultra-ethno nationalist group among the Oromo elite that is a danger to the entire 🇪🇹." That danger is unfolding now, threatening to destabilize the entire HOA. The Amhara imperial myth ended in 1974. No Amhara has led 🇪🇹 since PM Aklilu Habte-Wold, who earned his role on merit, not ethnicity. Today, the single greatest threat is a new ethnic supremacy: Abiy Ahmed’s OPDO empire, heavily backed by the UAE. A 54-year-old 🇦🇪 completely dominates 🇪🇹‼️" 🇪🇹 is a mosaic of minorities; over 80% of AA population is non-Oromo. Yet OPDO intellectuals seek to swallow Addis Ababa, treating non-Oromos like "immigrant residents" in their own capital. This hypocrisy is unsustainable & triggers a civil war. 🇪🇹 itself is a multiethnic, land of minorities without a majority single ethnic group & not a sovereign single-ethnic domain. While OPDO intellectuals blame Amharas without evidence, they are the real empire-builders & oppressors. The Amhara people & the Orthodox Church now face an existential threat. 3 yrs of heinous war crimes are committed on them. History teaches a brutal lesson: never willingly disarm. That was the mistake of 1970s left-leaning Amhara elites—it must not be repeated by any ethnicity today. Ethiopians and our neighbors don't hate each other. A supremacy based on clubbing every one into submission & possession will backfire. Mengistu & his generals were Oromo strong men ruled with brute force. A determined rebellion alliance brought down his empire. Another Amhara myth that everyone bought. I am willing to take all Emperor’s sin based on historical truth. Truth always matters. @HOAAffairs @NeaminZeleke @YeEthiopiaKurat @2bEritrean @coolproof @GualAbaMitin @NeguseRachel @ZecariasG @PanAfrican2012 @wediEriHaylom

🚨 Ogaden community in the United States condemns @AbiyAhmedAli regime’s military operations and ethnic targeting of Somalis in Moyale, demands accountability The Ogaden community in the United States has condemned the Abiy regime’s military operations in Moyale, southern Ethiopia, accusing Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Oromia Region President Shimelis Abdisa of aggression, ethnic targeting and pursuing an expansionist agenda against the Somali population. Speaking on behalf of the community, Mandeq Salah of the Ogaden Youth and Student Union (OYSU) rejected claims that Moyale is disputed territory, asserting that the city belongs to the Somali people and the Gara clan. “Moyale is not a disputed territory. It’s not up for debate. It belongs to the ethnic Somali. It belongs to the Gara clan. It belongs to the Somali people, and it will remain a Somali city,” Salah declared. She called for Abiy Ahmed and Shimelis Abdisa to be held accountable for the military operation in Moyale, warning that attacks targeting ethnic Somalis could have consequences beyond Ethiopia’s borders. “The Somali people inhabit four countries in the Horn of Africa. Declaring an ethnic war on the people of Moyale is declaring war on the entire ethnic Somali,” she said. Salah concluded by warning that the Abiy regime’s alleged expansionist agenda threatens regional stability and must be stopped to preserve peace in the Horn of Africa. Her remarks come amid escalating fighting between Oromia and Somali regional forces that began on October 20th, 2026.
🚨 Over 50,000 Ethiopians flee into Kenya as fighting between Oromia and Somali regional forces continues in southern Ethiopia More than 50,000 civilians have fled southern Ethiopia into neighboring Kenya following clashes between Oromia and Somali regional security forces that erupted on October 20th, 2026, in the disputed border town of Moyale. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the number of displaced people increased sharply from approximately 36,000 on October 27th to 50,000 on October 28th, as fighting continued along the Oromia–Somali regional border. UNHCR Kenya Representative Fatima Mohammed-Cole warned that the number of refugees could rise further as additional civilians continue crossing the border. Women and children account for a significant proportion of those fleeing, with some seeking refuge among relatives and host communities, while others are sheltering in temporary facilities, including schools and churches. UNHCR has deployed an emergency response team to the affected border areas and is coordinating with the Kenyan government, the Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations to provide assistance. The latest displacement adds to Ethiopia’s worsening humanitarian situation amid ongoing wars and armed violence across several regions of the country.

Replying to @declanganley
@declanganley Ireland hundreds of millions, US roughly $1bn annually, plus EU and other individual European aid... Donors help feed & care for Ethiopians, while Ethiopia finds money for advanced weaponry. Quite the funding arrangement. ##Ethiopia
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Ireland has no fighters, no fast jets of any kind, no serious air defences, subsea defences, nor a properly resourced military. 244m would make quite an addition to the Irish defence budget. Our priorities for Ethiopia are clearly different to Ethiopia’s priorities for Ethiopia. After all, Russian arms dealers private jets and yachts don’t fuel themselves.

President Isaias Afwerki meeting with President Putin at the Russia-Africa Summit “My perception about the situation in Africa is very dire. The capability of African economies and African governments to make their contributions is indeed limited. We need to recognize that fact in the first place. Comparing that with the potential of Russia, with the resources here, the technology based, industry based in Russia. Russia should take the lead and make its contributions. This is not in the African affairs but the contribution from Russia is expected to be as high as anyone can imagine." #ERITREA #RUSSIA #RussiaAfricaSummit2026

"Now or never" said the warmonger Jawar.🤔 We are dealing with imbeciles who don't read the writing on the wall. The country is burning, and they are pushing for a war with Eritrea. Insane.
Arming civilians as part of a counterinsurgency strategy is only exacerbating death and destruction. This must stop! Protecting the safety and security of citizens is the responsibility of the state’s security apparatus. That responsibility must not be delegated to private citizens or clan militias. My take on the subject during recent interview with DW

President Isaias was in Moscow for the Russia-Africa Summit. In an interview with Sputnik, he made it abundantly clear he was “not coming from the vantage point of Eritrea and Eritrean interests because it has nothing to do with the reality on the ground.” One is at a loss what to make of such a statement coming, as it does, from a leader of an impoverished nation that spends most of its meager resources more to bankroll destabilizing campaigns throughout the region than in building badly needed clinics or schools. Far from pursuing bilateral relations that could perhaps help improve the plight of his people, he has made it perfectly clear he is more interested in ‘righting the wrongs’ in the global financial system including addressing the containment policy against Russia than in taking care of bread and butter issues of the people of Eritrea. In light of President Isaias’ proclivities to punching above his weight, such grandstanding is not entirely out of character. What’s so striking about his remarks in Moscow, however, his dismissal of the relevance of individual countries’ cases including that of Eritrea as agenda in the summit in Moscow called exactly to address Russia’s relations with African countries. Many on social media were commenting on President Isaias’ dejected look, with his hands loosely hanging by his waist, and looking confused and out of place. Indeed, for a casual observer, the Eritrean president cut a sad figure throughout the summit and appeared to have difficulty fitting in the hustle bustle in Moscow. But that’s beside the point. The bottomline is President Isaias didn’t hold any bilats, didn’t address the gathering nor proffer his unsolicited views on global order to the Summit. He was just too bored to broach such silly subjects as Russo-Eritrean relations or Russo-African relations. If anything, this is yet another admission by the Eritrean President for life that when it comes to his priorities as a leader it is the unfairness in the global order, not Eritrea’s national interest, that comes front and center. After all, Eritrea has always been too small a project for a president whose imperial overreach knows no boundaries.
