Knowing our neighbor's history of denial and aggression, Eritrea’s visionary leaders looked far ahead: The 1993 Referendum: Proved to the world through a legal, democratic mandate (99.8% YES) that our independence is final. In 1994, Eritrean National Service introduced and built unbreakable defense to safeguard our land and our people from continuous regional threats. Without that strategic foresight, invasion would have been inevitable. Expansionist rhetoric CANNOT alter reality—Eritrea’s sovereignty is forever intact. No matter the denial, Eritrea is independent, strong, and here to stay! 🇪🇷✊

We could say a lot about the 27-minute so-called interview that the great pretender, Abiy Ahmed, gave to his own megaphone television yesterday. Study the camera shots carefully. This time, they spend very little time on his face and much more time on wide shots and the interviewer. Why? Because he is constantly reading from a screen, reciting words prepared for him by either Getachew or Tsadkan. Yet, despite the producer’s and editor’s best efforts to conceal this, look what I found! You can actually see him reading from a screen strategically positioned behind the interviewer, creating the illusion that he is speaking freely to the interviewer or the camera. But I froze the footage, zoomed in on his pupils, and guess what? Hehehehe! He is reading and repeating words from a big-screen like a parrot! Abiy is as fake as they come: a pretender, a coward and a bigmouth. Behind the carefully staged performance and bluster, we all know he is terrified. #Eritrea #Ethiopia @TomGardner18 @TheEconomist @NewYorker @DailyNewsEgypt

Contrasting Eritrea’s Sovereign Foreign Policy with Ethiopia’s Expansionism in the Horn of Africa Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Eritrea Research and Documentation Division 20 October 2026 Eritrea’s foreign policy has long been defined by the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference. Since independence it has hosted multiple peace processes—for Sudan, Chad-Sudan, and Somalia—while fully respecting the Algiers Agreement and the 2002 Boundary Commission decision. It has never denied Ethiopia commercial access to the Red Sea and treats the country’s landlocked status as a logistics issue, not a license for territorial revision. Ethiopia under the Prosperity Party has moved in the opposite direction. What began as talk of economic access has become open claims of “historical” and “existential” rights to Eritrean coastline, including public demands for roughly 50 km of coast and repeated military statements that Assab and Massawa are the ultimate objective. Senior officials have framed the Red Sea as a cause worth fighting for, in clear breach of the UN Charter’s ban on the threat or use of force. The contrast is now institutional. The January 2024 Somaliland MoU, the October 2026 expulsion of Eritrean diplomats, and the reciprocal severance of ties show a deliberate shift from negotiation to coercion. Eritrea continues to insist that maritime access can only be arranged through lawful, mutually agreed commercial arrangements under the full sovereignty of coastal states. The Core Contradiction of Ethiopia’s Maritime Agenda The central destabilizing element in Ethiopia’s regional strategy is the irreconcilable gap between its strategic rhetoric of peaceful partnership, ad nauseamto mislead the international community, and its systematic deployment of revisionist claims, historical irredentism, and implicit military coercion designed to sway its own population toward a war of aggression against Eritrea. Peaceful intent cannot be established through periodic disclaimers while official state rhetoric continuously frames maritime access as an unyielding national mandate. To safeguard regional order, four legal and diplomatic principles must remain non-negotiable: 1. Access vs. Ownership: Commercial port access and long-term logistical leases do not require, and must never involve, the transfer of territorial sovereignty. 2. Inviolability of Historical Borders:Nostalgic historical claims and past arrangements confer zero legal entitlement to revise contemporary, internationally recognized sovereign borders, especially when, as in this case, those professed historical claims are themselves factually baseless. 3. The Fallacy of Demographic Entitlement: Economic scale and demographic size do not grant a larger state superior sovereignty over its neighbors or a right to coerce territorial concessions. 4. Collective Security vs. Unilateral Hegemony: Maritime security in the Red Sea is a collective responsibility of littoral states governed by international law, not a pretext for landlocked power projection or unilateral military overreach. shabait.com/2026/10/20/contr… @Chinamission2un @franceonu @RussiaUN @UKUN_NewYork @USUN @BahrainMsnNY @ColombiaONU @RDCongoONU @Denmark_UN @GRUN_NY @LatviaUN_NY @LibMissionUN @PakistanUN_NY @panamaonuny @SomaliaatUN #ERITREA #Ethiopia #HOA #RedSeaTensions

@Jawar_Mohammed (የኣርሲው ጭሎ), you said, “IF Ethiopia breaks Eritrea’s defense, what comes next?” That is one enormous IF, built on wishful thinking rather than military or political reality. I suspect what drives your endless daydreaming and hypothetical scenarios is the growing fear that your beloved PP regime could soon face a devastating political and military reckoning in both Tigray and Amhara. You know very well that such a collapse would spell GAME OVER for your political ambitions and your pipe dream of regional KUSH empire. Instead of fantasizing about breaking Eritrea’s defenses, perhaps you should ask a far more urgent question: What happens when the PP (Abiy Ahmed Ali) regime's own defenses and political foundations begin to crumble? Eritrea is not the imaginary battlefield of your political fantasies. Your endless IFs will not rescue a regime from the consequences of its own disastrous policies. Before asking what comes after Eritrea’s defenses are broken, ask yourself what comes after PP itself is broken Abiy Ahmed flee. That is the IF that should keep you awake at night! @AbiyAhmedAli @NeaminZeleke @mamamesay @GhideonMusa @fiseha20 @AlulaFre @DahlaKib @Yehdavid @EliasAmare @Ghidewon @gere_habte23891 #FightAbyisAggression #RespectEritreasSovereignty #UAEStopWarFinancing #UAEBloodInYourHands

#Ethiopia $80-90B in aid, repeated bailouts, 68% in extreme poverty. #Eritrea “stagnant”? Abiy should fix his own house before eyeing his neighbor’s coastline 👇🇪🇷🐪🇪🇷
Reading from a teleprompter on Ethiopia's TV yesterday, the Potemkin Party's Prime Minister disparages Eritrea's economic development, and particularly its manufacturing sector, as "stagnant and in decline" since its independence in 1991. The speech/interview was also laced with his three-year old threats of war of aggression and invasion unless Eritrea succumbs to his delusional projects of "sovereign access to the sea" and "Ethiopian naval presence" in Eritrea's coastal territory; packaged this time round in different pretexts, language, and format. To revert to his disparaging discourse on Eritrea's economic performance and potential: 1. In the past 35 years, Ethiopia was the beneficiary of a whopping 80-90 billion US dollars of international multilateral and bilateral assistance; 2. Ethiopia went through two rounds of WB sponsored debt-cancellation rounds, as well as repetitive financial bailouts from the IMF and other donors. For almost ten years in -between, Ethiopia's dire humanitarian conditions were alleviated by the international community under a customized "social safety net" and other similar "intensive care" financial antidotes. 3. The current regime itself has received over 30 billion US dollars in international assistance in the last 8 years alone. In addition, its tattering economy is being resuscitated by another IMF bailout programme to the tune of 3.1 billion US dollars. 4. And yet, as the figures below illustrate, more than 68% Ethiopians are living under extreme poverty while close to 30 million people require urgent humanitarian relief assistance at this point in time. 5. In as far as the 300 manufacturing plants that the PP leader alludes to, these were old factories built during Italy's colonization of Eritrea from 1889 until 1941. The British Military Administration dismantled many of those factories - including the dock in Massawa - as "war booty" and sold them to other foreign countries. The occupationist Haile Selassie regime, in its turn, dismantled many of the remaining factories and transferred them to Ethiopia especially during the imposed "Federation" period. 6. After its hard-won independence in 1991, Eritrea registered rapid economic growth in the first seven years (WB reports). Imposed wars and unwarranted sanctions thereafter naturally affected the pace and magnitude of its economic trajectory. 7. These externalities have nothing to do with Eritrea's open investment and economic policies and visions. 8. And in any case, Eritrea has the abundant economic endowments (blue economy, extractive industry, educated and industrious human capital, and a civilized culture that celebrates religious and ethnic diversity within robust national unity) to excel and achieve its aspirations of rapid and sustainable growth in a conducive and enduring regional climate of peace and stability. 9. Finally, Ethiopia itself could do much better, extricate itself from debilitating dependency, and use its abundant resources for real development if its leaders abandon sectarian policies of division and polarization that incubate perennial cycles of internal turmoil as well as intertwined acts of regional destabilization in pursuit of delusional and expansionist projects.

🚨 A devastating drone strike hit Sana Elementary School in the Dera district around 10 AM. One of Ethiopia’s once-respected airlines is rapidly damaging its reputation not only through poor customer service, which we have already discussed and documented, but also over serious allegations of transporting military personnel and weapons into conflict zones. An airline should connect people, not become an instrument of war. If civilian aviation is being used to facilitate military operations, the public deserves transparency and accountability. Ethiopian Airlines must answer a fundamental question: Is it serving civilians, or helping fuel a war? The world deserves answers. Civilian aviation must not lose its purpose or its public trust to war. @StateDept @WhiteHouse @EUSR_Weber @antonioguterres @BBCWorld @CNN @AJEnglish @dwnews @Chinamission2un @franceonu @RussiaUN @UKUN_NewYork @USUN @BahrainMsnNY @ColombiaONU @RDCongoONU @Denmark_UN @GRUN_NY @LatviaUN_NY @LibMissionUN @PakistanUN_NY @panamaonuny @SomaliaatUN @flyethiopian #EthiopianAirlines

As the Amharic proverb says: "የራስዋ ኣሮባት የሰው ታማስላለች" (Focusing on others' business while your own house burns). How can the delusional and psychopath Prime Minister obsess over Eritrea while Ethiopia is suffering through one of the most devastating conflicts in its history? Fix what’s burning at home first. Distraction won't cover up reality. While internal conflict tore through communities across Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed looks outward to Eritrea instead of saving its own people. Stop the distractions. End the crisis at home. 💔🛑🇪🇹

Everything about this actor, including his entire Potemkin Party, revolves around deception and lies—from his fake PhD credentials to this staged interview. There have been so many acting episodes that we can no longer even count them. Yes, he was reading from a screen, and the script was written for him by those three Tigrayan flip-floppers from Raya-Agame, Tigray: Tsadkan, Getachew, and Abraham. You can tell by those Tigrinya words🤣 . They are all fake actors.
