Rest in peace, Margaret. Your trailblazing work leading the development of the on-board flight software for the Apollo spacecraft will forever be remembered. 🫡

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

Pablo T. gave an AI agent access to a Red Pitaya and an FPGA - and asked it to verify a 10 kHz filter.
It generated the RTL, built and flashed the design, drove the test signal, and checked the output.

Not every engineering experiment goes as planned.
Sometimes that’s where the real learning begins.
This hands-on project explores using Red Pitaya STEMlab with GNU Radio - and uncovers why SDR is the better path.

Any open-source projects recently stuck behind a pay-wall may want to check this out.
An FPGA development board is useless without development tools. Those tools shouldn't cost more than the board.
At Altera, we’re committed to accelerating innovators with powerful, accessible FPGA development solutions, regardless of budget or operating system preference.
As AI, edge, and embedded development continues to evolve, developers need the flexibility to build in the environments they know best. That’s why Quartus Prime is designed to support modern workflows across both Linux and Windows, helping teams move faster from idea to deployment.
With Quartus® Prime, developers get:
🔹 Linux + Windows OS support including Quartus Lite, Standard, and Pro versions
🔹 Free full-featured Quartus Prime Pro licenses for Agilex® 3 & Agilex® 5 E-Series devices
🔹 Simple, in-tool license requests, including access to Nios V, Visual Designer Studio, Questa* - Altera FPGA Starter Edition, and more
🔹 Faster compilation with fewer iterations
🔹 Software that just works
Because FPGA development tools should enable you to shape what’s next.

The RF world is insane.
Researchers recovered AES-128 keys from a Bluetooth chip by listening to its own antenna from 10 meters away.
Crypto-engine switching noise couples into the RF chain, rides the 2.4 GHz carrier, and leaks out as radio.
Btw this is 40MSPS oscilloscope *and* an FPGA inside of a Framework laptop expansion card form factor.
You can program the fpga directly and get a 40MB/s channel to it.
Oh and it literally costs less than $30 to make even at low quantities
I will be ordering it and writing some firmware for it, stay tuned!
day 4 of designing* more and more complicated Framework EXPANSION CARDS until they give me a free laptop
