Anthropic, with the help of Claude, spent five months building a replacement for Git, while Linus Torvalds built Git single-handedly in just 10 days.

We are living in the #AI era but also the custom processor one, and RISC-V is the standard in this field. In this article, we dive into the Nios V processor, the @AlteraFPGA_ processor for its #Agilex series. Check it out!

Rest in peace, Margaret. Your trailblazing work leading the development of the on-board flight software for the Apollo spacecraft will forever be remembered. 🫡
This night is about #tramuntana. The goal is to have a tool that acts as hands for AI debugging.
I have eliminated the need for an API key (temporarily) to use the AI tools, so you can test them.

Everybody is using AI and sharing their RTL modules with Anthropic, OpenAI, or Alibaba; in my case, for confidential information such as code or personal finances, I use local AI models. In this article, I share with you my local AI inference setup for FPGA development. Check it out!

Last weeks I was working on this tool, the Tramuntana Lite. It is based on a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 and includes SPI and I2C tools, 150Msps Logoc analyzer, 500ksps oscilloscope and a low frequency function generator. All the HW and SW will be released when it will be finished.
Finally I have a Qwen3.8:27b setup with 64k of context usable for FPGA design running on my RTX5060 ti 16Gb. This weekend I will share all my configuration in a blog article.
With Qwen 3.8, I discovered how many different scenarios you need to consider to create a simple SPI master; it took more than an hour just to start coding!
