💧A Muslim community of around 5,000 people in Jyotinagar Colony, Kolkata, India, has been without running water since July 29.
The disruption followed pipeline work and has been linked by residents to a pending eviction order issued by Kolkata Port authorities.
They said the water supply was intentionally cut, noting that taps immediately outside the colony continue to receive water.
The local BJP MLA, Ritesh Tiwari, who had previously pledged not to assist Muslim constituents, has denied any involvement in the disruption.
Hang your heads in shame, BJP voters and supporters for this trauma and lack of humanity will haunt you till Karma strikes each one of you down in similar ways sooner or later. Depriving humans for water is the worst sin anyone can do.

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

Thane ke Kasarwadavli Flyover ko inaugurate hue abhi sirf 14 months hue hain, lekin upar se concrete ka ek bada hissa already dangerously loose aur damaged condition mein dikh raha hai. Neeche se roz hazaaron gaadiyan guzarti hain. Agar yeh concrete gir gaya toh kisi ki jaan ja sakti hai — yeh koi chhoti baat nahi, serious public safety issue hai.

यह तस्वीर 7.8 GDP वाले देश की है जहां मुंबई से सटे मुंब्रा स्टेशन पर महिला ट्रेन से गिरती है.. गनीमत है कि सिग्नल के चलते यह ट्रेन रुकी हुई थी.. अब याद कीजिए कि इसी स्टेशन के पास पिछले साल 5 लोगों की मौत ट्रेन से गिरकर हुई थी और तब फडणवीस ने कहा था कि जल्द से जल्द अभी ट्रेन को AC ट्रेन कर दिया जाएगा और ट्रेन के दरवाज़े बंद होंगे.. यह सब सिर्फ गुस्सा शांत करवाने के लिए किया जाता है.. मुंबईकर हर रोज़ इसी तरह अपनी जान हथेली में लेकर काम करने को मजबूर है!!!
