Tokyo: Visit TeamLabs!
Kyoto: Lots of nice hikes just outside the city and up the hills!
Osaka: Eat at the fish markets!
I you have time, stop by a small remote town (such as Hakone) that specialises in onsens; and rent one for a day. :)

It's frustrating that I'm not allowed to donate blood in Denmark because I am not deemed by the state as 'fluent in Danish'. ๐

To be fair, so many programming people also do this. ๐

This reminds me of the time I got laid off from game engine company and then during the severance period I recieved an email saying I had been awarded a payrise because my work was above expectations. ๐คฃ

Moved game engines due to changing company. Was also getting burnt out with Unity's decisions & direction and wanted to use something else.

I've transitioned majority of my Unity tools and frameworks to Godot already.

It was fun whilst it lasted; but it's a good thing to shake things up and learn other tools. :)
As a former Unity die-hard (did a 15 year run of it but now haven't opened it in well over a year) this meme cuts me to my core. ๐คฃ
Didn't think a company would just drop people (who had poured their souls into for so many years) so swiftly & casually. It's certainly taught me to not be emotionally connected to my work.
Unity are doing dogfooding these days with Survival Kids and some other projects. It's a shame that it only got support from execs when another company was covering the bill.
