Ken Sim wants you to believe tomorrow is a choice between him and chaos.
It isn't. There's a better option, and it's on your ballot.
A year ago, a group of us started the @vanliberals because this city deserved a real choice in the centre. We're a big-tent team. We disagree on plenty, but we agree on what #Vancouver needs, and here's what we'll do:
Build more housing, faster. Adopt the BC Building Code and give builders one permitting front door instead of twelve.
Hire 400 front-line workers to fix our frontline services including garbage, roads and parks, and cut the layers of management in between.
Make streets safer by going after the money behind crime. Ban Bitcoin ATMs and crack down on money laundering.
Bring family doctors back with half-price property tax for doctors and walk-in clinics.
Keep the Park Board elected, open up City Hall with a lobbyist registry, and lower FOI costs.
Kareem has asked to be judged on one thing after four years: whether the average age in Vancouver went down. That's the whole fight. A city young people can stay in, not one they have to leave.
We don't need Ken. We don't need chaos.
We need Vancouver working for everyone.

Some high school students came door knocking today. When I saw the materials they were carrying, I said, “I see you’re door knocking for ABC today.”
“Yes,” said Boy 1. “We’re here with Lenny Zhou.”
“He’s here?” I said.

This is absolutely disqualifying. Both illegal and incredibly dangerous. Distracted driving is the #2 cause of death behind the wheel. @Vote4ABC cannot call themselves the "party of public safety" unless they call this out.
Section 214.2 of the BC Motor Vehicle Act: a person must not use an electronic device while driving. ABC campaigns on public safety, yet their candidates keep filming behind the wheel. Rules for you, not for me. @VancouverPD
During this campaign, I remained focused on policies rather than individual candidates. But driving while recording a video, especially a campaign video, is not ok.

I'll remind voters this council has done nothing to address the crisis of intimate partner violence. No one should live with threats, violence or fear in their home or elsewhere.
