I’m excited to announce that I’m running for Vancouver School Board with the Vancouver Liberals.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, and I’m proud to put my name forward to serve the city that raised me.
I’m running for strong classrooms, safe and welcoming schools, responsible leadership, and a School Board that listens to students, parents, educators, and communities.
Vancouver has given me so much. Now I’m ready to give back.
Let’s do this ✨
I don’t even know where to begin, except with a very big thank you.
23,445 votes. Wow.
When I decided to put my name forward for the Vancouver School Board, I knew it would be an incredible experience, but I never could have imagined just how much this campaign would mean to me.
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people across Vancouver, hearing your stories, listening to your concerns, and sharing my hopes for the city I grew up in and love so much.
But what I will remember most are the little moments. Every person who stopped me on the street to say they were voting for me, every encouraging message, every hug, every friend who shared a post or told someone about my campaign. You have no idea how much those moments meant to me. I felt so much love and support throughout this journey, and I will carry that with me for a very long time.
To my fellow Vancouver Liberal candidates, thank you. It was an honour to stand alongside such a passionate and dedicated group of people who genuinely care about the future of our city. We worked hard, we laughed, we learned, and we gave it everything we had.
To Kareem who put everything into this campaign and took a chance on me.
To our volunteers, supporters, donors, and everyone who helped make this campaign possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Campaigns are never the work of one person, and I am so grateful for every single person who believed in what we were trying to accomplish.
And to the 23,445 Vancouverites who put a mark beside my name, I cannot thank you enough. You placed your trust in me, and that is something I will never take lightly.
Of course, this wasn’t the result we had hoped for. But I have absolutely no regrets about putting my name forward. If anything, this experience has only strengthened my love for public service and my belief that ordinary people can step forward and make a difference.
This was my first time running for public office, and while I may not have won a seat, I gained something incredibly meaningful: friendships, experiences, lessons, and a renewed determination to keep giving back to the community that has given me so much.
Congratulations to everyone who was elected. I sincerely wish you success in serving Vancouver.
And as for me, well, I have a feeling this is just the beginning. ❤️
From the bottom of my heart, Vancouver, thank you.
Run, don’t walk, to support @vanliberals 🇨🇦

Today is Election Day, Vancouver!
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of knocking on doors, meeting neighbours, listening to your stories, and talking about the future of our city and our public schools.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has offered encouragement, shared their concerns, volunteered their time, or simply stopped to have a conversation.
As someone who grew up in Vancouver, this city has given me so much. Putting my name forward for School Board has been one of the greatest honours of my life.
Whatever happens tonight, I’m proud of the campaign we’ve run and the people I’ve met along the way.
To everyone heading to the polls today, thank you for taking part in our democracy. Your voice matters.
Let’s make today count, Vancouver! ❤️

From day one, our biggest objective has been to bring young people back, and we’re going to make big swings to do that.
Tomorrow is election day - the culmination of all of our efforts to share our ideas for why and how we’ll make Vancouver the city that we all deserve.
And we need your vote to make it all happen.
Make your plan to vote. Bring your friends and family.
Vote Kareem Allam and the entire Vancouver Liberals team for the Vancouver we all deserve.
We are all grateful for your support.
Now let's vote, vote, vote!
👇
Ken Sim wants you to believe tomorrow is a choice between him and chaos.
It isn't. There's a better option, and it's on your ballot.
A year ago, a group of us started the @vanliberals because this city deserved a real choice in the centre. We're a big-tent team. We disagree on plenty, but we agree on what #Vancouver needs, and here's what we'll do:
Build more housing, faster. Adopt the BC Building Code and give builders one permitting front door instead of twelve.
Hire 400 front-line workers to fix our frontline services including garbage, roads and parks, and cut the layers of management in between.
Make streets safer by going after the money behind crime. Ban Bitcoin ATMs and crack down on money laundering.
Bring family doctors back with half-price property tax for doctors and walk-in clinics.
Keep the Park Board elected, open up City Hall with a lobbyist registry, and lower FOI costs.
Kareem has asked to be judged on one thing after four years: whether the average age in Vancouver went down. That's the whole fight. A city young people can stay in, not one they have to leave.
We don't need Ken. We don't need chaos.
We need Vancouver working for everyone.
Polls are open tomorrow from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Vote the full Vancouver Liberal team.
Together, We Can.

Thank you, Rhea Santos, for having me on. I’m grateful for the opportunity to reflect on my time throughout this campaign and to reaffirm why I am running.
I am running for one reason and one reason alone, and that is to bring young people back to the city. When we fail young people, we fail every generation.
Thank you so much.
Together we can.

I’m going to do a series of endorsements for Vancouver tomorrow.
I know, you must all be eagerly wondering who I’ll support.
😇
Let’s get it done.
Vancouver is losing bus routes because our mayor is not showing up to TransLink meetings.
The Province hasn't approved a single inch of new Skytrain in a decade.
Massive construction projects are blocking Granville, Oak, Cambie, and Broadway all at once due to poor city planning. On Oct 17th, vote Vancouver Liberals to get our city moving again.
Together We Can.
I grew up in Heather Place, a housing co-op right here in Vancouver. So when I talk about the importance of co-op housing, it’s personal.
For my family, co-op housing wasn’t just about having a roof over our heads. It was about stability, community, and having a place to call home.
Those are things every family deserves.
That’s why I’m proud that the Vancouver Liberals are proposing 25-year lease agreements for housing co-ops, giving them greater long-term stability and certainty.
Vancouver is becoming increasingly unaffordable, and we need to protect the housing communities that have helped generations of families build their lives here.
I know firsthand what co-op housing can mean to a family because I was one of those kids.
I want future generations of Vancouver children to have that same opportunity.
Housing isn’t just about buildings. It’s about people, families, and the communities we build together.

THE VANCOUVER LIBERAL CHARM OFFENSIVE IS ON!
Did you know that Anna’s hummingbird is Vancouver’s official bird?
It’s also the bird in the Vancouver Liberal logo.
And here’s a fun fact: A group of hummingbirds is called a “charm.” This Saturday, we will be on charm offensive to get out our vote!

I challenged Ken Sim and Pete Fry to a debate today. Here's what happened.
Pete Fry has challenged Ken Sim to a debate, and we all know he’s not going to show up.
So let’s have a real debate, with or without him: no forum, no prepared questions, no stacked audiences. Let’s also include Councillor Rebecca Bligh and Colleen Hardwick, who are also in the race.
I look forward to prompt replies to my letter that we emailed to all the candidates:
