Written a post called "My #ADHD and me". It's arguably the most difficult one I've had to write, but it's also extremely difficult to recognise the traits and get a diagnosis. So, I'm sharing my quirks and my journey in case you're in a similar boat: craigabbott.co.uk/blog/my-ad…

CROWDSOURCING: Let's get a thread going of your fave books by disabled authors. (The books don't have to be specifically about disability.) Lots of people ask me for recs, but I'm not some kind of authority here. So, what would you recommend? #BookTwitter #DisabilityTwitter

Here's what happens when you post a photo with no alt text on Twitter, because I think some of you don't understand what I have to do in response. First, it depends on what device I'm looking at it. 1/

We had a lot more mentee signups than mentors, so we will remain our mentor apps open until EOD today in hopes that we can match all mentees with mentors. Note: Mentee applications will remain closed due to high number already, but we’ll do another cohort in the near future #a11y

Exciting news – @GDSTeam is hiring frontend developers to work on GOV.UK, GaaP and Digital Identity! 🎉 Looking for folks based in London (£54.7k - £64.5k) or Bristol / Manchester (£49.7k - £57k) Find all the details here: gdscareers.tal.net/vx/lang-e… Please RT 🙌
A lot of you learned to use person-first language when it comes to disability — “my son with autism” rather than “my autistic son” — because that word order puts the person first. We need to see the person before the disability, they said. This is ableist reasoning.

A big thanks to @ambrwlsn90 for her wonderful article on accessible anchor links. I've been trying to add accessible GitHub style anchors to my blog posts using @eleven_ty and this article was incredibly helpful. Thank you, Amber! amberwilson.co.uk/blog/are-y…
