@JHBWater @WaterCANsa Brixton, Day 3, no water. The promises of only 12 hours and 95% pumping, and still no water. The promised collection point set up by JHB Water never materialized, and the 300m+ reservoir that was meant to mitigate these issues has failed.

WaterCAN executive manager Dr Ferrial Adam says a Emfuleni Municipality manager told the SAHRC’s ongoing inquiry that he was unaware residents of his municipality lacked water supply. She says he should resign. Adam adds that 70% of the municipality’s water is unaccounted for.
