One of the earliest supporters of #OUTA's work against #etolls, was Pam Porteous, or Auntie Pam, as she was fondly known to Ali Gule, who has been leading our #bridgebrigade since the start more than a decade ago. Auntie Pam lived in Alberton and not only joined the protests but also often opened her home for early morning coffee and food for the team (those bridges can be very cold!) Our sincere condolences to all her loved ones on her passing. Thank you for your activism and your kindness, Auntie Pam. RIP

READ: @wayneduv reacts to the ANC's decision to form a #GovernmentOfNationalUnity (GNU): "In essence a GNU is a grand coalition, and a wise decision. It will allow (but also require) the various role-players to display their willingness to collaborate and participate in a co-operative government. The journey forward will involve very tough and robust discussions, and will be a true test of leaders’ abilities to set aside egos and their party-political agendas. The message to politicians is loud and clear:  going forward, start placing the country and its citizens first and your parties second. OUTA's team will continue to hold those in power accountable, regardless of the political landscape. We remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that public funds are used responsibly, and that corruption is rooted out. We call on all South Africans to stay engaged and informed. Active participation in our democracy is more crucial now than ever before."

Here we go. The interference of a national sphere of Government (RTIA’s AARTO plans) over the powers entrusted by Local Government, are coming to the fore. We warned Dept of Transport about this!!!: Municipalities start counting the cost as AARTO looms outa.co.za/blog/newsroom-1/p…

We are educated and cautioned about use of derogative native words. However, here's a renowned presenter freely using a K word on national TV. Must we now write to BCCSA before something is done...?

When logic fails, pull the race card. We are going for corrupt government officials and politicians stealing from the people of SA. Not for a race. Think a moment who suffers most under this corrupt govt - and specifically in the case of #NSFAS. That's right! Poor black people.
MXIMMM 🤮 Only focusing on corruption by black people not whites. Election year and clever blacks/elites be warned that all your dirty skeletons will be given to these racist NGO's for public/media. @MbalulaFikile they are coming for you all 🤣😂🤣😂

Aside from paying grants, renewing car licenses and delivering (losing) the odd parcel, all services carried out by many other organisations, can anyone tell me why we still need the @SAPostOffice today? Close this theft & squandering cesspool!!!
Post Office in a R7.9-billion hole — with billions more in losses expected The South African Post Office must undergo a drastic business rescue plan to reduce its massive operational costs, or risk shutting down. mybroadband.co.za/news/inves…

Listening to @PMashatile input at the Anti-Corruption event today, & I have one word to describe my sentiment: Farcical. He spoke of Government’s commitments and good work in the fight against corruption. Seriously. His words were hollow, untrustworthy and unbelievable.

The NHI decision unfolding, is indicative of Govt with its head in the sand - once again. No one decries the need for revision of universal healthcare, but the current NHI plan will fail. Just as Govt refused to heed the warnings of the collapse of their eTolls scheme, once again they are arrogant and refuse to hear the concerns raised by so many experts on the matter. Only this time around, the failure will be extremely costly and far more devastating. This idea that just because they legislate something, everything will simply fall into place, is sheer lunacy. Complex systems don’t work that way. Please stop this looming NHI debacle now.
