Trump’s actions are funding Putin’s war machine—the same aggression that’s killing civilians and helping Iran target American servicemembers. It’s dangerous, shocking, and wrong.

.@elonmusk make sure @Starlink keeps all records and communications regarding your alliance with Russia. Subpoenas are coming. I am sure the European market will want to know what happened.
Ukraine's Starshield terminals still don't work properly, President Zelensky confirms, disabling Ukrainian interceptors used to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones that have been hitting civilian targets in recent weeks. kyivindependent.com/planned-…

So the guy who birthed the idea of slowing down Starlink to aid Russia—a decision that resulted in death and risk to US personnel in Ukraine—is also the biggest donor to the Republican party and is single-handedly trying to tilt the Texas Senate race to the GOP. I have that right?

Trump’s diesel deal gives Vladimir Putin millions of dollars to finance his war against the Ukrainian people while doing next to nothing to lower prices at the pump.    This dangerous and irresponsible decision must be reversed.   That’s why I joined 17 of my colleagues in introducing bipartisan legislation to block it.

“Nothing is worse than war”, they say, rightly so. But then they add “So, why don’t you give Putin what he wants and end it?” And this is where they don’t understand: giving Putin “what he wants” means sacrificing to him millions of people. It means seeing your loved ones disappear in Putin’s torture chambers. It means putting an end to Ukrainian nation who wanted in this life nothing more but to be free. It means feeding the beast. Which puts the whole “nothing is worse than war” premise in a different light. It’s “nothing is worse” as long as the sacrifice isn’t yours.

Zelensky followed the sensible advice of pro-Ukraine Republicans -- flattered and thanked Trump, agreed to all his crazy ideas (like the mineral deal), praised peace talks that were obviously going nowhere. And still got screwed. So not sure what he's supposed to do here.
How is this helpful to Ukraine?

Keep an eye out for whose messaging about Ukraine converge on this.
Ukraine has “already lost” the war against Russia, says @Alice_Weidel, co-leader of the Alternative for Germany party, which is leading German opinion polls. She told @zannymb, that Germany should pull the plug on support for Ukraine against Vladimir Putin’s invasion. Watch the full interview at 6pm London time (1pm in New York): bit.ly/4yrcX9s

Trump supports the Dictator Putin and opposes Ukraine who wants our freedom and Independence. Ukraine loves America freedoms. Putin hates it. Why does Trump love Putin?

Wow. This is truly disappointing from Justin Pearson. Opposing aid to Ukraine is a major L. We can't allow Russia to take over Ukraine and murder innocent people. Russia also funds the Far Right in Europe and contributes to the spread of Fascism in the world.
Democrat Justin Pearson @Justinjpearson is running in Tennessee's 9th Congressional District [TN-09] on November 3. ❌Opposes military aid

Russia is not our friend. As your member of Congress, I’ll stand with Ukraine, oppose wars of choice like Trump’s war in Iran, and fight for foreign policy that puts American interests ahead of unnecessary conflicts that drive up costs at home. Ready for better? You can cast your vote for me on or before November 3rd. #FlipThe6th #Minnesota #DFL #Midterms #Congress

watch out in Arizona and portions of Nevada. This is also a large enough jump that diesel prices in the Rockies could get pulled in.
Wholesale diesel prices in LA and the SF markets have set new all-time records- and retail is about to rip higher. LA ULSD surged 52c/gal while SF rose 21c/gal- refinery maintenance a big part.

Very good bipartisan letter to Trump. I doubt it will have any effect on the lifting of sanctions, however. And Trump is never going to implement sanctions under the Graham Sanctions Act - not least because it's designed in such a way that he can avoid doing so.
I’m leading my colleagues in demanding the President rescind the disastrous Russian diesel deal. Appeasement spurs Putin to ignore serious peace talks, & the diesel debacle shows abject weakness. 1/

Ukraine agreed to the energy ceasefire. Russia broke it just two hours later. So why is Trump pointing fingers at Ukraine instead of telling Putin to stop attacking Ukrainian civilians and critical infrastructure?
Q: Russia hit 6 energy sites yesterday. What evidence do you have-- TRUMP: Well, Ukraine hit many sites the day before

In all seriousness, these bot farms are engaging in psychological warfare, fostering division, radicalization, and negative polarization that are cancerous to the body politic in a democratic society. Authoritarianism binds the nation through fear, but democracy binds the nation through faith: in your neighbors’ better angels and your own capacity to tap them. Authoritarians have realized they can erode the faith and functionality of democracy through a mirage of division that stokes real division. This dynamic is often whispered about in the corridors of power throughout the transatlantic alliance. But leaders have been wary to emphasize it for fear of sounding conspiratorial. Fortunately, that is changing. I was glad to see @andyburnham say it clearly to @campbellclaret recently re: Brexit. We shouldn’t shy away from it in the US for fear of Trump mocking it as a “Russian hoax” while he benefits from the bot farms and rewards Putin with more money to fight Ukraine. We must speak clearly on this threat and get a handle on it. Any Big Tech regulation by the US, UK, and EU must grapple with foreign interference through social media.
Was a Russian data center just destroyed or are you just happy to see me?
